Am I being careful enough?
Should I go with the current Gen4 Ninja Glock? Or should I wait 'til next year's release of the rumored Gen5 Ninja Glock, which is supposed to come with an attached duct tape dispenser for securing additional armor plates to your back? .
In all fairness Tam, I would look at the M&P because the grip angle is the same as the 1911. The price point is about the same and it carries the same plastic pistol yummy goodness as the Glock. The aftermarket end on the M&P has caught up to it as well. Apex Tactical has a bunch of stuff that is making it work better. Food for thought...FYI- I am a Glock shooter, but I see no real serious difference between the big three plastic pistols.
I hear black hole bullets are almost ready for production. They consume whatever they hit and leave no traces - except for the matter sucking singularity, of course. But nobody in their right mind will go near one, so, there's that.
Never a big fan of Glocks, even before they were competition. I'm not in love with any synthetic frame for various reasons, but at least the Smiths don't break.
From welded slides that blew up (until they went to an American company in New Hampshire and had them made out of bar stock), to the model 17 frame being stiffened with soft roll pins instead of hardened dowel pins (a la the Colt 2000), resulting in every Glock made before autumn 1990 getting a brand new frame to end the deluge of slamfires, to the Gen 4's notoriety for slipshod Q.C. and jams.
I have an "I hate Glocks" wall at work, filled with pictures of exploded Glocks, all recent, all cop guns from departments that now use something other than the Austrian chancers. When that lock block lets go, so does the policeman's hand.
Palestinian and Korean guest workers just aren't what they used to be.
I'll hear from lots of folks whose Glocks run fine. A good one runs well, I won't argue that. But a bad one doesn't, and there are so many bad ones. Ending up with a good brandname handgun shouldn't be a crapshoot.
I want to hire who ever it is that does their advertising. Based on their failure rate, I'd call them the Fiat of the pistol world, but everyone still gets pitched with the Teutonic workmanship crap.
According to Deutsche Welle, German national radio, VW was the only German auto maker who didn't finish in the bottom on reliability. But we still get the same sales pitch, from pistols to autos, electric irons to God knows what.
I dunno what's better, their editing, or how well they did it without playing any silly reindeer games.
ReplyDeleteI bet that was a REALLY fun trip to the range! And I bet it was harder work editing out the laughter than editing in the twists of physics.
As God is my witness, I read "ninja clock" and thought, "Ninjaz do not reqire time, they can strike at any hour" Especially zombie ninjaz.
ReplyDeleteVampire ninjaz, of course, only come out at night.
Ninja Glock will need the N+1 recoil springs.
ReplyDeleteWV: aligna - to aligna the recoila.
That guy is so dumb. It's not a thousand round clip! It's a thousand round ASSAULT clip!
ReplyDeleteWhat a poser. A real ninja would have known that.
Rumor Mill has it that the Ninja Barrett will be at the next SHOT Show.
ReplyDeleteThat was so bad I had to watch the whole thing. It was just that hypnotic, viz., "How much more stupid can this get?"
ReplyDeleteI'm so disappointed. I didn't see the L in Ninja Glock. And misread the G as a C.
ReplyDeleteMy bad.
Bruiser
Wait for Gen7 Ninja Glock. it'll have a permanently affixed folding bayonet rather than those tacticool yet passe rail attachment ones.
ReplyDeleteI'll wait till the gen-5
ReplyDeleteIt will be in 308 NATO with no increase in grip size, and less recoil than a 22 as it will have ninga springs
Glock! EWWW!

ReplyDeleteOnly if it comes with the special boots to climb walls.

ReplyDeleteLOL that reminded me of the story Tam Related from Glocktalk about the ninja-kid claiming his buddy converted a Glock 21 to run on .454 Casull!
There is a Ninja M&P ? I thought Smith & Wesson was exclusively a samurai class provider.

ReplyDeleteNo no, it's H&K that only provides to the ruling samurai class. They hate you if you're not Shogun.

I for one am underwhelmed.
Me, I'm waiting for the iGlock. I hear it's insanely cool.
ReplyDeleteToo funny!
ReplyDeleteOscar material.
(and, I think a couple of your commenters need a funny bone transplant).
WV: "diedi" :-)
"I'm waiting for the iGlock."
ReplyDeleteI'm waiting for the Glock 7 from "Die Hard 2".
Becuase Glock Vista sucked.
Oh, you silly!
ReplyDeleteThe Tactical Tape Dispenser
is only for sale to asault teams! You just try taping extra plates to your own back!
