Their tongues are also rough--like 50 grit sandpaper.
I have a great picture of a giraffe sticking his head in the covered truck at the Glen Rose Fossil Ridge wildlife preserve in Texas. My wife has a cup full of "giraffe treats" and those giraffes know all about them.
Many years ago I took my kids to the Lowry Park Zoo and we visited the giraffe exhibit. There was a box of multigrain crackers from hell sitting in the pavilion and the girls began eagerly feeding the giraffes. I stood, mesmerized, until an zoo employee approached and explained that the crackers were $2 a piece.
I never realized Gene Simmons is part giraffe.
ReplyDeleteI'm slightly frightened that I got the Firefly reference in your title.
