QotD: Now Piss Off Edition

pdb on proposals for magazine capacity restrictions:
The free exercise of my rights is not contingent on the approval of some parasite government bureaucrat or their pathetic fan club.
...and that's pretty much all the justification you need to exercise any of your rights, actually. I'll sit anywhere on this damned bus I want to, Senator Schumer, you loathsome Sméagol-looking little leech on the body politic, you.

  1. It'd be a pretty poor excuse of a "right" if it were.

But it's a perfect illustration of the hostility these loathsome creatures have to the ideas of rights and the free exercise of.

I recall that one Judge in the Maryland May Issue ruling who said: The existence of said right is all the justification that is required.

Sort of a classier version of: Because Fuck You, that's why.

There's a reason the State has to work through the Justice System if it wants to take away a person's rights.

Anything else is collective punishment and precrime... at best.

Stop beating around the bush, Tam, tell us what you _really_ think! Chuck-you Shumer - a walking advertisment for term limits......I remember back in the bad old days, one of F-Troop's show-n-tell sessions of "bad" guns, a live-fire session f/the anti-gun polls, a photo of Chucky firing a Mac-10 with a cheesy weasel-wide grin from ear to ear.(shudder) Scariest photo I've ever seen...

    1. That's the shot I was remembering! Tec-9 instead of Ingram. Still scary.

  3. They are going try to end on-line ammo sales as well. I personally thought they might wait until after November, but I guess they think Aurora gives them momentum.

  4. WHEN CHUCK WAS BUT A MEER CONGRESSMAN
I HAD THE OPPORTUNITY AT A TOWNMEETING
TO COMMENT ON A PROPOSED BILL OF HIS
I POINTED OUT TO HIM AND THE FAITHFUL HIS BILL WENT AGAINST AT LEAST TWO OF THE BILL OF RIGHTS AND THAT HE SWORE AN OATH TO "SUPPORT PROTECT ANDDEFEND THE CONSTITUTION" AND THAT OATH DID NOT GIVE HIM THE RIGHT TO DENY RIGHTS TO CITIZENS FOR THE SAKE OF POLITICAL EXPEDIENCY OR TRYING TO LOOK GOOD IN THE PRESS AND THAT IT WAS/IS RATHER DANGEROUS THAT OUR GOVERNMENT AND THE PEOPLES REPRESENTATIVES CANNOT TELL THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A CRIMINAL DOING HIS WORST AND A CITIZENS GOING ABOUT THEIR LAWFUL OCCASIONS SOME THING IS VERY WRONG HE DIDNT LISTEN HES ONLY CARES TO HIS OWN AGENDA

  9. Chuckie,

Can't we all agree that no one should serve in Congress for more than 12 years and if the do they should be covered in tar and feathers and lit on fire.

  10. Say what you want about Senator Schumer's political activities. I agree.

But that "cheesy weasel-wide grin from ear to ear.(shudder)" he has while shooting that AK-47 (it IS an AK-47, right?) is why we win.

    Every time.

An angel may not get its wings every time a slide locks back on an empty mag, but the shooter SMILES.

    1. @Mikee; I have no doubt Shumer is human enough - barely - to smile after a full-auto mag dump, as would you and I. The problem is as an eliteist statist, he has no compuntion against barring us from our rights. If he enjoyed it, it _MUST_ be banned from us prols, for our own good, Constitution be damned.

  11. It's really an insult to Sméagol, to compare him with Chuck Schumer. Sméagol only wanted the precious. Schumer only wants to see everyone subjugated to the government.

In fact, I'd probably vote for Sméagol over Schumer any day of the week. He is definitely, far and away, the lesser of two evils.

  12. There are only two ways to keep this country free. The first is also the easiest. It is absolutely essential that you vote your convictions. This year may be our last chance to keep this country free the easy way.

  13. Schumer again, eh? Ugh. When will he understand the wisdom of Bill Buckley - A free society need not condone everything it must tolerate.

Oh well, as I pointed out on my blog, we may be okay so long as technology stays one step ahead of the regulatory wand of the State.

  15. Because another law on top of the...what...140 charges douchebag was charged with is going to make a difference?

  16. Last I understood, there are already something like 22k gun laws on the books. How many laws does it take to say it's illegal to commit a crime?

When my 95 year old Grandma passed a decade ag, my cousin & I took the job of cleaning out her house. We found many stashed bags of flour & sugar, and her cold cellar was as usual stocked chockablock full of canned everything. She made her own dandelion wine & "elderberry bounce" as she called it...was definitely a child of the Great Depression and it showed until the day she died, then at a time of incredible wealth & prosperity.

If my grandchildren have to clean out my cellar some day, they'll find the results if my having to live through the AWB and whatever such may follow.

    What goes around, comes around.

    1. Not sure where to nail down a source, but this has been around a while. roughly 22,000 gun statutes between Fed, State and Local Govs, in states allowing local jurisdiction over firearms. Maybe Prof. Lott?

  20. I think Panamared and RKN are tied for first on this one.

"leech on the body politic"? You're far too polite.

My thoughts run more to haemorroids and sphincters.
