The president reads classified security briefings (when he can be bothered) off his iPad? The iPad that was made in People's Liberation Army Western Consumer Goods Factory #347? And this seems like a good idea to somebody other than MSS headquarters in Beijing?
Oh, the networking is disabled. Well that makes it okay then.
If you believe for one second that the iPad BHO reads these briefings on is the only thing made in a foreign land that our government is trusting security documents to, well wake up. It's been going on for a bit.
ReplyDeleteFurthermore, I wouldn't necessarily take anything coming from a sitting president's campaign office as gospel either. They say that he's using the iPad, but that is more to appeal to the folks that think that a pres that uses the latest, greatest gadget means anything other than he's pandering to them.
Joseph,
ReplyDelete"If you believe for one second that the iPad BHO reads these briefings on is the only thing made in a foreign land..."
No, I don't. That was just the snarky lead-in for the linked articles.
He uses an iPad, but can't figure out how to dial an iPhone.
ReplyDeleteMake way, the smartest man in the world coming through!
As I recall, there were security concerns about his using his Blackberry; he dismissed them.
ReplyDeleteEither he doesn't believe there are problems, or doesn't care.
I think that the POTUS sees the use of Chinese gadgets that can directly download US security data for the use of the Chinese, to be an advantage. You know, it cuts out the middlemen and saves money.
ReplyDeleteThe folks at "MSS headquarters in Beijing?" probably aren't interested in the 'domestic enemies list' - which is probably the only Intel ObaMao bothers to read on his iPad
ReplyDeleteRemember how Clintons DCI had classified docs on his home computer? It was a shock to us all when Janet Reno decided not to prosecute him, let me tell you.
ReplyDeleteFirehand,
ReplyDeleteCount one vote for "he doesn't care".
Security is something for peons to worry about. He's got bigger fish to fry: getting reelected so he has "more flexibility".
Don't worry if President Obama or the Director of National Intelligence is wrong. They will be perfectly safe. We have plans to protect them and resources to keep them safe.
ReplyDeleteThe guys in uniform and the intelligence personnel overseas? Hey that risk is what they get paid for.
And if you cannot figure it out, 1:52PM is sarcasm.
ReplyDeleteSo tell me, if the networking on his iPad is disabled, how does he get the documents onto it?
ReplyDeleteBy using an easily duplicated - or lost - flash card?
Or maybe he has a covey of secretaries who retypoe all the briefing materials into it each and every day, before he awakes?
That's idiotic. But then . . .
And this seems like a good idea to somebody other than MSS headquarters in Beijing?
ReplyDeleteAre you questioning the judgment of the Golfer in Chief?
Careful: we're now being informed that making comments about all his golf games is 'unfair to golf' and such.
ReplyDeleteThey'll bounce a hook off you, you don't watch it.
