Now, really. Just because Mayor Lowe of Gainesville, FL, assaults the municipal code with a multi-ton vehicle, essentially a deadly weapon, in an irresponsible manner (operating under the influence of perception altering substance) in violation of the law, why would you question his fitness to decide that other people with weapons used in conformance with the law and the Constitution shouldn't be screened and regulated?
Mayors Against Illegal Guns seems to be a worthy cause. So what if they happen to have focused on making everyone's gun illegal? Oh. That disarms the community, which escalates all forms of violent crime. And causes many, many needless deaths, because would-be mayhem wannabes are guaranteed, by law, that they would be the only ones armed, thereby inciting acts of violence from rape to mass shootings.
I take it back. I don't think MAIG has its head in the sunshine after all.
