Retail Therapy.

Let's sing the Fun Show Song!
Flintlocks and Flop-tops
And Number Three Russians
Black-powder Mausers
From jackbooted Prussians,
Shiny Smith PC's from limited runs
These are a few of my favorite guns.

Socketed bay'nets
On Zulu War rifles,
Engraved, iv'ried Lugers
That make quite an eyefull
Mosin tomato stakes sold by the ton
These are a few of my favorite guns.

Rusty top-breaks!
Smallbore Schuetzens!
And all of Browning's spawn
I just keep on browsing my favorite guns
Until all my money's gone.
Hopefully the locusts will have left something to buy...

I'm thinking my day would be made complete if I found an unloved early .38 Safety Hammerless that needed a home. Or, you know, pretty much any cool old prewar pocket .32 auto.

Anyhow, if a day at the Fun Show doesn't cheer me up, I don't know what will.

    And the FunShow Song!

Just the FunShow Song cheers me up!

Find something for your other blog, Tam. Or just something that needs a good home and is a duplicate (shooter) of something you've got.

  3. To late; I traded a 38 S&W safety hammerless for a 1924 Colonial radio.

  5. While two big fun stores in town are completely cleaned out (people line up at one store every Thursday morning when the truck arrives), I went to a small, neighborhood store across town. They had quantities of PMC, Federal and Winchester white box 5.56 and .223 ammo, 22lr ammo that was pricy but on the shelf, and .45acp and 9mm fmj. They also had Gen 2 PMags at no markup. Owner says that the drought is over.

  7. There WAS one here this weekend, until the tornado took the power out in that part of town.

  8. I wish I had a camera with me - I took an NRA Basic Pistol Instructor class this weekend at a nice gun store and club in Deerfield, WI (by Madison) and they had a large collection of old wheelguns and pocket autos on display from a private collection. Thought of you; should you get up that way check it out.
