I don't recall you consulting me on your English curriculum...

...so how 'bout you keep your nose out of self-defense matters?

The American Federation of Teachers, like everybody else on the planet, has apparently issued a statement of their position on what they think just happened in Florida.

  1. My step mom was a union teacher; my father was not.

Made for some interesting dinner conversations.

  2. Isn't this the same Union who thinks that have Armed Security Guards to Protect their Asses from Random Nutjobs is a BAD Idea, and that it's much better to round up Kids into a nice package so as to make it easier for the Goblin(s) to slaughter them?

Oh, I wonder how many Armed Guards are on Duty at Union HQs around the nation?

  3. Quoted for accuracy:

"...the antithesis of what we teach our children in schools..."

    Correct, and positively chilling.

  5. I don't mind if you want to critique my Freshman Composition class's textbook. The more eyes, the better. :)

  6. They keep trying to get me to join, and I keep telling them to pound sand. The local union president got pissed at me last fall when I told him to quit emailing me election propaganda and that my inbox was for business only.

  8. Got in a heated argument the other day just because I stated that Zimmerman shouldn't have even gotten out of his car. Even tho I also stated that the jury would find him not guilty of the charges. This was a week before the verdict came out. The only point I was trying to make was that the whole thing could have been avoided.
Bet GZ is thinking the same thing bout now.

  9. So American teachers decry racial profiling?

Have they a position on affirmative action, race-based scholarships, single-race frats/sororities and other race-based activities in institutions of higher education, as well?

Or does their interest in racial colorblindness stop after their students pass age 17?
