It's not bigotry when we do it.

Bill Maher reminds everybody what he thinks about NRA members.

What I find interesting is how it's implicit in his attitude that all decent, right-thinking people, or at least all of them smart enough to operate a remote control, are in absolute agreement with him. "Gun owners! Am I right?"

Mr. Maher, there's a 'Pauline Kael' asking for you on line two?

  1. I guess Bill won't be out there confiscating any firearms from the nuts, racist and A-holes.

    Too bad.

  2. The Kael comment alone cements your crown as our "Mistress of Snark". "Nobody I know voted for Nixon" indeed.
    Well played, madam.

  3. Another Loudmouth Anti-Gunner who I am SURE has lots of People with Firearms protecting his Sorry Behind. They are called "Bodyguards," and I'm SURE that they get to use THEIR 2A Rights to cover him since they are an "Exempted Category," while the rest of the Citizens of The VolksRepublik of Kalifornia will have to use Rocks and Boards when the State Central Committee gets done.

  4. Once in a while I get HBO for free for a weekend.
I've watched Bill Maher...all 3.5 minutes I could take before the nausea was overwhelming.
I don't hate liberals, I just don't have any use for them.

  5. "I don't hate liberals, I just don't have any use for them." Well said, KM.

  6. Bill Maher is my favorite way to pressure test my arteries, and to also check my biases.

Interestingly, he's said publicly on real-time that he owns at least one gun, and will continue to do so until guns are outlawed. He says he needs one to protect himself from all the rednecks with guns.

  7. I guess his character in Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death was based on his actual personality.

  8. Bill Maher is a waste of skin. I would not urinate on him, if he was on fire.

  9. Could you put line 2 on the speaker phone?

  10. I can't take much of Maher, either. I actually agree with some of his "liberal" positions, but he still drives me nuts. A lot of the things we technically agree on don't feel much like agreement, because his understanding of the issue is so shallow. For instance, he's a skeptical rationalist (and that's how he knows religious people are stupid) until it comes to the danger of vaccination or some trendy food pseudoscience. Then it's important to keep, like, a really really open mind, man.

  11. Maher is projecting again, because he is obviously a nut, a racist and an asshole.

  12. From my point of view, "MAHER" could stand for "My Asshole Has Erupted Rudely", but that would be resorting to name calling, wouldn't it?

  13. Bill Maher ...Who cares what he says. I can only hope that some day he really needs a gun but can't have one.

  14. A mental test is in order.

Imagine I'm talking to Bill. I tell him I support an individual right to self defense. And he tells me he does not.

Then I tell him I'm gonna knee his nads if he doesn't stop me.

I knee his nads. Win for me.

Or he crosses his legs. Win for individual self defense as an inherent human right.

I can live with either outcome.

But imagining the scenario gives me a smile every time.
