"Stockholm Syndrome"? The leftover neocon hawks in the GOP have been pushing for "regime change" in Syria for at least a couple years now. They're just mad because Barry won't get involved enough.
Now the news is spouting that Barry is showing gruesome videos of dead kids and so forth to the Senators in small groups to try to win them over.
BO couldn't sway the Senate for domestic legislation with a bunch of dead kids six months ago; how will the Senate explain it if he manages to "sway" them enough to take action in Syria...but couldn't do the same here at home?
Barry is playing "Oooh, look! Squirrel!" while no one in Congress seems to remember enough to ask anymore or any more about Bengazi, Brian Terry, the IRS, and so forth.
Of course the press thinks it's more important that Payton tied the TD pass record than it is that Syria has been using weapons that they must have got from Iraq...where the current "let's DO something!" crowd a few years back cried that they couldn't have been in the first place. If Bush lied then, then Barry is lying now.
So we send cruise missiles to break things and hurt/kill Syrians and then Assad sends suicide bombers, with or without chemical weapons, to return the favor. (Actually, five dedicated Syrian army guys with AK's and grenades in the Mall of the Americas would work as well). Do we get mad and Nuke Syria or just say "oh, it was only a limited military action " and ignore it?
The National Propaganda Radio host this morning sure was cute, trying to get her Hearst on, asking a Stupid Party congressman who referenced the lack of a UN resolution: "Do you think Russia(1) should stop America from acting?"
Coming up on Morning Edition: Remembering the Maine. This is NPR.
*I wonder how many NPRians of a certain age used to pass out copies of The Spartacist as undergrads.
Well, she DID release the first video from her new album this week...that's more a psychological weapon than a chemical one though.
ReplyDeleteY'know, the more I see of McCain the gladder I am that BO beat him...and I truly HATE BO.

Anon 10:08 - I'm still not convinced there was much of a difference back in Aught Eight except 'Bama is crafty and Johnny Mac is crazy.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking at the banner "CNN Trends fu**ed by Zite". It takes me a while to figure out that it says 'fueled' and not that other word.
ReplyDeleteIt appears that McCain's roller coaster has passed over the peak and he's passed Full-Blown-Loon Stockholm Syndrome and still picking up speed.

The situation is clearly desperate but not syrious.
ReplyDeleteWait. Obarry's not neocon enough?

This whole mess reeks.
Do not expect to see current events in "Tiger Beat", either.
ReplyDeleteHmmmm, Obama, McCain, Katy Perry. OK, I'll see your two boobs and raise you by a pair...
ReplyDeleteSorry, but somebody had to say it.
So when do we bomb Katy Perry?

Or at any time prior to 1991.
All we’re going to do in Syria is ring Assad’s doorbell and run away. I doubt we’re even leaving behind a flaming bag of poop.
