Should have seen the soon-to-be-ex-Mrs. Zimmerman on the Today show this morning.
It was hard to decide who was more repugnant: Her or Princess Lauer.
What I did find amusing was the idiocy of the odious Matt Lauer* as he
first destroys her credibility by recalling her perjury charges and
pointing out that people in the middle of divorces sometimes have
very... subjective opinions of the people they're breaking up with, and
then he goes on to ask what she thinks really happened on the night Trayvon got hisself shot.
Matt, you dolt, if you want us to believe what she says, you can't first tell us to not believe anything she says.
The dumb, smug "Gotcha!" look on his face as he leaned back after coaxing the "...and I really don’t know what he’s capable of," line out of her made me want to wipe it off with a fireplace shovel. He looked as proud as a kid who'd just pulled the wings off a fly (which, come to think of it, was probably a hobby in his younger days.)
*I have a serious loathing for Matt, in case you can't tell. He's practically a caricature of the egotistical monster of a TV celeb, and it's only made more obvious by the inclusion of people like Al Roker or Willie Geist on the set. I doubt I share a more than a handful of viewpoints in common with either of the latter, but I can easily imagine having a beer with them. Lauer? Compared to him, Robert Patrick's character in T2 was a paragon of empathic humanity.
Does she truly think she is help herself with these interviews?
ReplyDeleteI hope her 15 minutes of fame is worth something.
Gerry
I never have been able to watch maht wrooower because of my overwhelming desire to horsewhip him. That goes, actually, for everyone that shows up on my little picture box except Jacques Pepin and Julia Child. And sometimes the top gear guys.
ReplyDeleteAnd of course the media still keeps recycling that photo of Treyvon when he was 10-12 years old.
ReplyDeleteYou'd be surprised how many think that double jeopardy is just a level of play on a game show and that Zimmerman can be tried again after enough evidence is fabricated against him.
ReplyDeleteI have even heard some demand that prosecutors appeal the not guilty verdict.
These people amuse me.
Zimmerman might be tried again on federal civil rights charges, which is a politically correct way of circumventing the double jeopardy rule.
ReplyDeleteShe's angling for a book deal. Maybe a reality show and a make-over.
ReplyDeleteI have even heard some demand that prosecutors appeal the not guilty verdict.
ReplyDeleteThese people amuse me.
They don't amuse me a bit.
They vote, and their votes count as much (maybe more, if they vote more than once) than yours and mine.
I have a serious loathing for Matt,...
ReplyDeleteMe too, my dream is that the next time they do a "Where in the world is Matt?" piece, he's at the bottom of Challenger Deep being pounded into urchin chum by a couple of CAT-5 Kaiju with nary a Jaeger in sight.
Gerry,I don't think that she puts a lot of thought into whether it helps or not;she's on TV and that's what counts. She never was anybody before, and she'll never be anybody in the future,so before we all forget about her,she wants to get all she can.
ReplyDeleteYou're dead on about Lauer... And sooner or later I'm firmly convinced 'somebody' WILL wipe that smug grin off...
ReplyDeleteWhy do you people even watch the moron box?
ReplyDeleteThere's Netflix. Bittorrent too. Darknets. No need to see a TV ad ever again.
For news, the web gives you the same lies with only 23.78% of the smarminess.
I guess habits die hard..
"Why do you people even watch the moron box?"
ReplyDeleteWe don't, Tam does. Why? Did you not read the post? Snark fodder, of course.
It is more of a religious thing- Maddie wanted to make sure her repentance was genuine.
ReplyDeleteY'all are forgetting Zimmerman and his wife were progbots before the invention of "white hispanic" and the MSM whipping closet racists into a frothing frenzy. Once it was decided to sacrifice him on the altar of the narrative, he was damaged goods.
ReplyDeleteHell, it's obviously a "hate-crime" (normal crime, only moar badder) or a civil rights violation or something. On simply doesn't whack a protected species, no matter what the provocation...
ReplyDeleteIf I must watch a morning TV news show, it's CBS This Morning. Charlie Rose at least demonstrates some common sense at times, and while Nora O'Donnell and Gayle King are useful idiots, they do defer to Rose.
