Optics Pr0n...

My current if-I-won-the-lottery dream optic for an AR carbine. I'm kinda happy with the photo, too.

  1. Youza. My car cost less.

Isn't that like the one Jerry M had in a video?

  2. What do you like about the free float tube? I'm just curious if your preference is for that configuration, and if so why, since I'm trying to decide if I want to veer away from Mark LaRue's goodness.

If you won a big lottery...

  4. No no no no no! The Dream Optic (note caps denoting seriousness) is a AF-S Nikkor 400/2.8G ED VRII lens. (Maybe I should be lusting after an Olympus 90-250/2.8 ED Zuiko since I finally bailed from Nikon DX to micro 4/3. I was a bitter clinger to the mythical D400 but finally gave up.)

But either would be kind of awkward on an AR, so I must defer to your choice of the Leupold.

ITAR PRODUCT! By adding to cart, I confirm that I am U.S. Person ...
Kinda ironic that the statement attesting to the buyer's US-ness sounds like something from a non-native speaker, eh?

  5. So, what is the special sauce that makes this work 3K?

  6. I already asked Santa for a 1911, but I could change my mind.

That's just too pretty to pass up.

And the photo is a win!

  7. If I won the lottery, you'd be one of my firearms purchasing consultants.

  8. A scope so good that it's ITAR restricted? Holy crap! That's awesome.

  9. TJIC: Anything gun related that cost over $100 is ITAR restricted.

More vendors are putting these notices up after an online vendor got stepped on for selling that nordic schoolkid shooting nutter his magazines.

( I'm not using his name. Active Shooter nutters really do need an an anonymous death followed by flushing the ashes down the Coroners office toilet )

  11. Is it my imagination? or are most "tactical" or "AR" scopes big game African scopes refitted with a mil dot instead of a German #4?
