Well, it's a Finnish New England Westinghouse, but it's tough to say exactly how captured it was. Probably "Finnish-seized" would be more descriptive.
For instance, the Romanov eagle is still there in the middle of the N.E.W. crest, and it's an un-cut full-length 91, and so never got shortened by the Russians to a stubby li'l 91/30.
Ooooh. A Westinghouse. Turning a bit "jealousy green" here. Any time you feel like doing a post with lots of pics on it, you'll have at least one happy reader.
I burn with envy. I've done nothing since last Saturday but nurse a busted up ankle.
ReplyDeletePlanning to shoot Steel Challenge tomorrow afternoon though. Hope I don't pay for it with massive ankle pain and swelling.
Enjoy the day!
ReplyDeleteAh yes - a Finnish M-N! Is it yours?

My buddy Willard had a "Remington" Finn and the receiver turned out to be an 1898 Tula.
