"Lemme see your war face!"
I never look like I'm having fun when I'm shooting, which isn't true because I'm generally having a blast.
I liked shooting the SIG 320, but they put the slide release right where my thumb expects to find a 1911 safety, so we're just not fated to be together.
.
would you give me a call sometime today, if possible, please?
ReplyDeleteGunsmith Bob
I went through a long phase when I met new friends from the internet at a gun club when active shooting was going on.
ReplyDeletePeople would say "Your Screen Name is Weer'd Beard...but you don't seem to Weird to me!"
Yeah because there's GUNS around, not the best place for tomfoolery and dick jokes.
Yep, having a blast, but I tend to have a lot more of a war face on when I'm on the line.
Somewhere back in the mists of times past, there was that moment just after your very first time shooting a firearm.
ReplyDeleteI bet there was a smile on your face then.
Strange. I tend to put on a dead blank poker-face when I shoot.
ReplyDeleteA thousand yard stare always scares me far more than grrrrr! .
LOLZ. Guess nobody looked at the picture. ;)
ReplyDeleteI was hoping the link was to a photo of Tam's war face.
ReplyDeleteA photo of her with her War Face on is in that article.
ReplyDeleteYeah, poker face over here too... Too busy concentrating...
ReplyDeleteThere has to be a story regarding the skull and crossbones tape on the earmuffs...

ReplyDeleteNice fast recovery.
I have the same problem with SIG slide releases. I figured if a FLETC revolver-to-auto conversion course couldn't train it out of me, then I'd best avoid them for serious uses.
Wow a pic of Tam in the wild
ReplyDeleteI used to play in a band in my younger days. My wife was always on me to "smile" when we played. She just couldn't grasp that I was a)concentrating and b)enjoying the heck out of what I was doing. Joy and fun are not always connected to dah face!
ReplyDelete... and I was going to make a comment about someone's arms and getting enough sun ...
ReplyDeletewhew, that was close.

ReplyDeleteMy war face just looks like my face.
