Grrr!

"Lemme see your war face!"

I never look like I'm having fun when I'm shooting, which isn't true because I'm generally having a blast.

I liked shooting the SIG 320, but they put the slide release right where my thumb expects to find a 1911 safety, so we're just not fated to be together.

  2. I went through a long phase when I met new friends from the internet at a gun club when active shooting was going on.

People would say "Your Screen Name is Weer'd Beard...but you don't seem to Weird to me!"

Yeah because there's GUNS around, not the best place for tomfoolery and dick jokes.

Yep, having a blast, but I tend to have a lot more of a war face on when I'm on the line.

  3. Somewhere back in the mists of times past, there was that moment just after your very first time shooting a firearm.

I bet there was a smile on your face then.

  4. Strange. I tend to put on a dead blank poker-face when I shoot.

A thousand yard stare always scares me far more than grrrrr! .

    Nice fast recovery.

I have the same problem with SIG slide releases. I figured if a FLETC revolver-to-auto conversion course couldn't train it out of me, then I'd best avoid them for serious uses.

  12. I used to play in a band in my younger days. My wife was always on me to "smile" when we played. She just couldn't grasp that I was a)concentrating and b)enjoying the heck out of what I was doing. Joy and fun are not always connected to dah face!
