Must See TV...

Watched the third episode of The Peripheral over dinner last night, and I am all on board for this. Really good stuff.

Bobbi liked it, too.

So did William Gibson, apparently...
While Gibson and Smith have a shared vision for the show, Gibson said he was struck ill early in the writing process — he required surgery but the pandemic delayed the procedure for six months — and “gave up trying to give advice.” He hasn’t even read the last scripts, he said, because it’s more fun for him to watch them unfold.

“There’s something really special going on in what he’s done with it,” Gibson said of Smith’s adaptation. “The parts of it that don’t follow the action of the book for various reasons feel to me like another part of the book. It’s like being privy to information I don’t have about the characters. It’s a remarkable experience.”
So, if you see some neckbearded hater on the internet talking about how it isn't true to Gibson's vision, you can tell them to go on over to Twitter and argue with @GreatDismal himself.
