Ya gotta love that tacticality: Head-to-toe we have Coal Creek Armory (ball cap), Royal Robbins (vest), MagPul (tee), Milt Sparks (belt), SIGTac (pants), and 5.11 Tactical (boots). I look like a Soldier Of Fiction magazine just threw up on me... ;)
My caption said: "and her eyes looked so kindly" (some cultural reference the origins of which I do not know). THe "good Masha" comment is a literary allusion of some sort, not sure which.
That smile makes you look much less intimidating. I don't think a child would run from you if he/she would see you walking through a pedestrian zone dressed up like that (including carbine). :-)
5.11 Tactical is a spinoff from Royal Robbins. The vests and pants were originally sold under the Royal Robbins label, up until three or four years ago.

ReplyDeleteMasha is a short/informal form for Maria, and I'm not sure of the exact meaning in this context, but I'm guessing it's colloquial generic for a gurrl.
I'm pretty definite of the "good" part, though.

ReplyDeleteI've been climbing quite a bit longer than I've been shooting. Royal Robbins is a climbing legend (an early Yosimete pioneer.)
How did 5.11 grow out of his oh-so-granola-y clothing company?!?!? He just doesn't strike me as "tactical" anything...
