Yeah I play that game about a dozen times a day in my head too. If I was only rich, so that I can put my favorite gun store owner's kid through college.
Sorry for being Mr. Bummer, but the high-dollar pistols I've bought just don't seem to be worth the money. Too tight or too finicky. I've gotten rid of several of them and bought their cheaper brothers - ones that tend to work all the time.
The Sprinfield Professional Model is the Custom Shop weapon adopted for use by the FBI HRT and SWAT teams. Unlike some marketing ploys, this is the actual weapon used by the FBI: the smith making it has no idea if the weapon is going to fulfill the FBI contract or onto the commercial market.
It is a handfitted weapon capable of superb accuracy while maintaining excellent reliability. The 20 LPI checkering on the fronstrap is also good for grating cheese or tenderizing meat.
Over $2400 MSRP? Wow.
ReplyDeleteWhat's the CCA price on that?
ReplyDeleteWow. I don't own a 1911 of any sort, but that is one pretty pistol.
ReplyDeleteBut all things considered I'll stick with my XD45 and my P220, which put together ran me about 1/3 the cost of that little gem you're drooling over.
2400 bucks?
ReplyDeleteVheap compared to a SIG 210-5 heavy frame longslide. ;-)

ReplyDeleteMany high dollar toys aren't worth the price of admission.
ReplyDeleteThe Pros are.
Enlighten me. What's a Springfield Pro"? Thanks
