When I was in high school, we once convinced a substitute teacher than one of the kids in the class had tourette's syndrome, and he forgot to take his medication that morning. It's one of the few fond memories I have of high school.
I once told my mother I was worried that if I ever developed Tourette's, no one would be able to tell. She told me she had worried that very thing about me. Damn skippy!
