And the link at CNN said...

School shooter could go back to prison
...and I'm thinking "Wait! 'Back'?!? He was out? What in the hell was he doing out? And what do you mean 'could'?"

I realize that he was "only" thirteen years old when he helped mow down five people in cold blood, but isn't the "mowed down five people in cold blood" part more important than the "he was only 13" part? I mean, there are some things from which you just can't reform.

What does that sound like in a parole hearing? "Hey, yeah, I mean, I know I shot those children and that teacher from ambush, but I was feeling a little kooky that day. I'm all better now and I promise I won't do it again."
And somebody buys that! Instead of saying what they should in response, which is "That's nice kid, shut up and put on the blindfold. And hurry up with that cigarette, these guys got jobs to get to after they're done here."

  1. Sounds like the murdering of all these people is all better now. They are not really dead because life only begins at 21 don't you know. This guy is shaping right up. He only had a 9mm, a shotgun and a mere ounce of pot. I trust him completly don't you? He gonna be a preacher now!
Don't look for justice in the legal system.

  2. Read the Jonesboro Massacre Wikipedia article. Not only did the law only allow to hold them until they were 21, but they got all their federal firearms rights back. (I don't understand why they weren't charged at the federal level for murder, seeing that is an end-run around double jeopardy.)

  3. The parents, if you must call them that, should be executed, too.

Because murder isn't a Federal crime. Nor should it be.

  5. Couldn't we just, y'know, let them go to California, instead?

  6. Did you read where his partner in the crime is learining how to be a 'minister'? This according to his mother, or some other relative. Don't know which, they kinda blend together in that state.

  7. "The school shooting shocked Arkansas. Johnson and Golden stole guns from Golden's grandfather and a van belonging to Johnson's stepfather. They waited in camouflage atop a wooded hill after Golden triggered a fake fire alarm at Jonesboro's Westside Middle School.

The two opened fire as classmates and teachers left the school. Shannon Wright, an English teacher, died while shielding a student from a pair of bullets. Students Natalie Brooks, 11; Paige Herring, 12; Stephanie Johnson, 12; and Britthney Varner, 11, all died of their wounds. The boys wounded another 10 people."

You wanted to act like a grown-up psycho killer, kid, well here's your chance to die like one.

Oh, and they misspelled "Lorcin," which I defy anyone to do any "target shooting" with.

How do you reckon the parents of those late little girls feel about this? :(

I'm having a hard time believing that, but I do agree with the second part of the sentence.

You mean we have federal and state drug laws, but no federal murder statues? What did they try Timothy McVeigh with?
