Just not a morning person...

While 0530 isn't anywhere near as bad a donut-making time as 0430, it's still no walk in the park. Also, people shouldn't be up at this hour on a weekend, unless it's to go catch a fish or something. I'm pretty sure there's something in Deuteronomy about it.

  1. I guess I must have missed it-but why are you making donuts? What happened to the gunshop gig?
I mean this in the best way,but there is something wrong with a world where you are making donuts.
You should be a rep for one of the
big companies or something like that.Just my opinion

  2. I actually enjoy seeing the sunrise, but then I'm usually heading off to bed shortly thereafter. ;-)

  3. Morning starts at 0930. Anything up until 0930 is still the middle of the night.

And when I worked in the bakery, it was 0430 on weekdays, 0330 on Saturdays and 0200 on Sundays....

  4. I feel for you. Especially since getting up at 5am Mon - Fri (just because I work for the state doesn't mean I get cushy hours ;) has conditioned me. Even on weekends I can rarely sleep past 6AM.

  5. In Leviticus there's something about 'thou shalt not lay with anyone who art cheerful in the morning, for Lo, the Lord loveth a cheerful giver but hateth a cheerful riser. The Poor you will have with you always, and the sleepy + cranky. For lo, I am Surly, Early'.
It's right in there after 'smite them hip and thigh' but before the part where God turns the wife of Lot into a pillar of salt. Today's hominy Homily...When life hands you lemons and when life dishes out pillars of salt, I'm thinking God wants you to quest after good tequila.
    Augery doggerel, that's my game.

  6. Miss K,

You SO have to find a better gig.

  7. Carl H, had you a weblog of your own I would read it every day.

  8. Nobody's going to pay anyone to say snarky things about their own products. What Tamara needs is a company that wants to make ads featuring their competitors' products for the next few years.

  9. Like hell...fish bite in the evening, too. Plus, drinking PBR at 5:30 pm looks a little better than 5:30 am. Taste, however, doesn't improve.

  10. If Tam were really making donuts, she'd be working for the vast krispy kreme conspiracy, which contributes to the internal expansion of all the corporate conglomerates nationwide... :)
