Y'know, Rev, some things aren't very context-dependent.

Rev. Wright is explaining what he really meant by "Kill Whitey!"

  1. I like to think that he was merely suggesting that folks should go to the beach and get a tan; I could use a vacation. Thanks, Rev!

  2. A genuine journalist would just show him the comments and ask him what he meant. The excerpts say it's shill Moyers asking Rev. Wright what third parties meant by criticising the comments.

For a profession that hugs itself so hard about being tough and honest, juournos are awfully weak.

  3. The Rev never learned the First Rule of Holes (when in one, stop digging).

I looked at the context, and it looks worse now.

Guys like Earl Butz and James Watt make stupid jokes, and get fired and shunned. Wright gets lauded. Bush goes to Bob Jones U for one day, and catches flak. Obama has Wright for a mentor for 23 years, and he gets to schluff this off as not reflecting on him or his beliefs.

  4. If he feels that he's being taken out of context then show the whole sermon. Seems to me that would be the simplest way for people to decide who is speaking with a forked tongue. What do you suppose the chances are of the MSM doing that?

This asshat claiming he was taken out of context is like BJ Clinton saying he didn't "inhale".

  5. More along the line of "I did not have sex with that woman, Monica Lewinsky." because the facts of what the Rev. Wright said are so damnable and BHO sat in his pew for 23 years and said nothing.
There is something called implicit consent when you stand by and do nothing, knowing what the person is advocating or doing.
