You haven't lived until you have had the chance to wake up in a 40 degree house. Makes getting out of bed that much harder. I will say though, it was the factor that prompted me to purchase a generator, the acquisition of which has been excellent insurance against the power going out for going on three years now.
This is when those freeloading kittehs earn their keep. Just tie one to the top of your head and stuff a couple more inside your sweatshirt to keep ya warm.
I let mine lay on top of the vent and absorb the gas heat all day long. In return, at night, she curls up on me and radiates it all back out.

ReplyDeleteYou could warm up by thumping the HVAC guy for not showing up sooner, but it makes getting furnace service in the future problematic.
