Happy Christmas Eve to one and all who celebrate the forthcoming holiday, the high holy day of both Christians and Capitalists.
Watch out for patches of black global warming on the road when driving over the river and through the woods to grandma's house, y'all. No ice here in Indy, though. Santa heard me say "white Christmas" and the old geezer apparently thought I said "wet Christmas". Quelle pisser.
Hey là, buon amico! Poiché è la stagione meravigliosa di dare, sareste un grande amico e cantereste me quella canzone favorita del Natale, Dominick l'asino?
ReplyDelete...the Batmobile lost its wheel, and the Joker got away :p
ReplyDeleteIch wünsche Euch ein Frohes Fest und auch ein glückliches, Obamafreies Neues Jahr 2010 :)
Crusty
although I think the Capitalists spell it "X-mas"
ReplyDelete*ahem*
On the twelfth day of Christmas, my FFL got for me
twelve tons of .22
eleven Browning blueprints
ten Les Baers (custom)
nine wonder nines
eight Mosin-Nagants
seven Garand clips
six SMLE Enfields
five M1A's
four Hand Ejectors
three bayonets
two silhouettes
and a full-auto Thompson sub gun.

Pffft, rain's not the boss of me!
ReplyDeleteWater is life.

Just to poke the bruise though; It's both white and dry out here in God's Country. Yesterday's little snow still decorates the landscape but is almost completely gone from the streets and roads
ReplyDeleteTom Lehrer's song about the commercialization of Christmas has yet to be excelled, and he wrote/sang that some sixty years ago. Probably on the Web, somewhere.
ReplyDeleteMe, I'll just sit around and remember the Old Daze when the relatives would all gather for the traditional turkey'n'dressing and all that. Old folks, middle folks and young folks.
"Yes, Virginia, there were times and places where Saturday Evening Post covers really were real."

Thanks, Tam! Merry Christmas to you and Roomie, an all the fur-bearing inhabitants of Roseholme.
ReplyDeleteMerry Malcolm Xmas, Tam!
ReplyDeleteNollaig Feshona Dhuit from us creatures laagered up between N'Yawk and Baastin. You've built an amazing online community, extended family actually, and we're all the richer for the connection.
ReplyDeleteAlways in your debt Tam. Something about big oaks and acorns. Merry Christmas and the best of new years.
It'll be nice and warm down in Naples on Saturday.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, Tam!
Merry X-mas to you and yours from Baumholder, Germany!
ReplyDeleteI've the best of both worlds, snow on the ground and cold rain in the air.
Best wishes, Tam. Thanks for another year of wit, wisdom and downright fun.
ReplyDeleteMy first stop, every day, on the 'Net.
You know how capitalists celebrate Christmas?
ReplyDeleteThey hold hands `round the cash register singing "What A Friend We Have In Jesus"!
We're about to have approximately the third white Christmas since we were a Republic.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's a harbinger.
Regards,
Rabbit.
Nothing compared to the egg that the senate just laid.
ReplyDeleteIt's a windy Christmas with a trace of snow here. Imagine that.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, Tam.
Merry Christmas Tam. Peace be with you.
ReplyDeleteYeOldFurt
Merry Christmas, Tam, Roberta, and all commenters of good will. :-)
ReplyDeleteWe have snow (well, a little) here now, but it's supposed to be 49 and rainy tomorrow.
Merry Christmas, Tam, to you and your household. May this season be a peaceful one for you.
ReplyDeleteTam, trade you: right now there's a bleepload of global warmening slicking up the roads and blowing all over the damn place in Oklahoma. I'd trade that for some rain and warmer temps, I think.
ReplyDelete10* and 30 MPH NNW winds here. More snow on the way tonight and tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas!!!
Merry Christmas, y'all!
ReplyDeleteHave a kewl Yule!
ReplyDeleteStrangely, we're building on a quarter inch of the white stuff on the ground here in Texas.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, friend. Take it as you like, but the greeting is sent with warmth. I'll holla atcha in a bit.
No new global warming on the ground here, but we got two or three inches yesterday. Just enough to make it look like winter without making too much of a mess of things, and enough that the kids will be able to take their GT snow racers (if those haven't been banned) out on the hill tomorrow morning.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, or whichever alternative you'd prefer,
Jim
Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteAfter blowing last nights 9" of white Christmas out of the driveway I looked up to see four deer walking down the middle of our suburban street. I guess their usual paths in the nearby woods were too snowed in. Forecast is 9 more inches tonight and 4-7" tomorrow before the wind kicks up and starts blowing it around.
Merry Christmas, Tam.
ReplyDeleteYo Tam, Merry Xmas from a motorcycle riding gun slinging fool that used to see you at CoalCreek!
ReplyDeleteVery best
Merry Christmas to you and Roberta X, all the denizens of the Comments page and all the four-legged citizens of Roseholme Cottage.
ReplyDeleteMerry, Merry.
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome to some of the 22" of gerbil worming we got two days ago.
Mele Kalikimaka, eh brah!
ReplyDeleteTam,
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas and Happy New Year. It may change over to the white stuff by tomorrow evening. A little late I know.
Merry Christmas. Hope Santa brings ya all the goodies you asked for.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, Tam!
ReplyDeleteI think I'll cut them both some slack. Their way of life (and ours) is at considerable risk right now.
ReplyDeleteTo the degree that Christians look on Christmas as a yearly affirmation of some remaining goodness in people and the world, I'm all for it and them.
And to the degree that eeevil profiteering capitalists take advantage of a ready market for their goods and use the proceeds to pay their own way in the world, I'm all for them too.
Merry Christmas to you and all who enjoy your talents here, Tam.

Merry Christmas, Tam !
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

PS to above: Rode my son's nice little 750 shadow to and from "work" Christmas eve, cool in the morning, 76 degrees coming home at 4...i was wearing shorts and a tee shirt.
ReplyDeleteNice, but it's Christmas for Christ's sake!:) I understand no snow in fla, but gimmee some 30's anyway!
Hope Santa found you, Tam, and hey, thanks for sending all your blind deaf octogenarians flying down here in their Buicks at 70 mph only to park them at 30 in the left lane of all the main roads around here.
wv: subli
