Paging Charles Darwin...

Via Handgun Podcast, my attention was drawn to this fifty-five seconds of epic fail.

I was going to try to catalog everything wrong with it, from the total absence of trigger finger or muzzle discipline, to the lack of eye and ear protection, to the goobers repeating nonsense about the SKS being banned by the "Geneva Convention", but I ran out of room. Instead, I figured I'd write down everything they did right, and here's what I came up with: Nothing.

That kind of stupid should be painful, and often is, at least briefly...

  5. I think that is what every hoplophobe conjures up in their head whenever they think about ALL gun owners.

  6. Like a cop, there's never an ND around when you need one

    Sorry, was that out loud?

  7. Gotta disagree with you there Og.
I counted two NDs in that clip.

It's just that neither resulted in immediate, discernible injury to either of the morons.

  8. "It's just that neither resulted in immediate, discernible injury to either of the morons."

As in, not there when needed.

Otherwise, as you say, the whole cluster was negligent in every conceivable way.

  9. Fair 'nuff...

    Camera"man" came close.

Poor dog came closer and that actually pisses me off more.

Morons endangering themselves I'm fine with.

Morons endangering a perfectly serviceable pooch? Not so much.

Morons feeding the anti-gun trolls while endangering a perfectly serviceable pooch? Time to cut a length of limber willow and wear those boys out.

WV: prosup...Yeah, judging by my waistline I guess I'm prosup. Prolunch, probreak, and prosnack too.

  10. On a positive note he didn't point the thing at anybody - even himself, which is better than a lot of adults at the local range. Shooting a couple of rounds into soft mud in a very rural setting isn't real terrible either. I've done it with my Rem.742.
Seems we get all bent because of a teenager being well.....a teenager. Teenage boys and camcorder is just a real bad combination.
Hopefully the gun owner was somewhere close by. Having said that, it's painful to watch and if my 16 year old did it I'd have shipped him back to his mother with a fail stamp on his head.

  11. Ah, the joys of natural selection.

  12. For fear of not being able to "un-see" this vid, I'm avoiding watching it, but I'm still pondering how the SKS could've been "banned by the GC," when the Soviets AND the ChiComs cranked out enough of them to make a cute picket fence along the whole length of the Great Wall of China.

  13. I'm hoping for "before he breeds".

  14. I think the kids producing the vid were the results of NDs.
