An innocent -if clueless- comment is made and hilarity ensues...unc's own comment early in the thread shows empathy for ms. clueless, but not so much as to refrain from a sharp jab.
Great bunch of quips and cutting commentary, but I don't know about that post title of yours...there's been some pretty damn awesome strings right here at VFTP; that, linkies like this one, and the razor wit and gentility exhibited by the proprietress and her trusty sidekick -er, I mean landlady- are the reasons I drop by once or thrice a day.
I think that the best replies were in the first dozen or so, after that it went downhill a bit, with the occasional gem popping up. I haven't checked the thread today, but I'm sure that there's a shark-jumping effort in there somewhere.
Mad Libs are the best. They're "bester" when they're made unwittingly.
