At one point, I thought I'd broken rule 34 by failing to find byakhee porn on the internet. Then I discovered the paper magazine Cthulhu Sex, which I recommend if you want to see how far humans will go in doing the insane things humans do. It's up to a surprisingly high number of issues by now.
But doesn't Rule 43 overrule Rule 34? I mean, it's the Answer to Life, the Universe and Everything, and Everything includes Shoggoths, He Who Must Not Be Named....
Although I've finally been convinced that using "they" as the third-person singular gender-indeterminate pronoun will not cause me to be struck by lightning, sometimes I still wax traditional in pronoun usage.
I am an old guy, officially. I have stood as a people greeter at Walmart.
So I had to look at UrbanDictionary.com to find Rule 43. There were four meanings listed; I liked the first three.
1. "You can find anything on the Internet if you are willing to look for it long enough."
2. "The more Beautiful and Pure a thing is - the more satisfying it is to corrupt it."
3. "When you can shit, you should shit. This helps avoid awkward moments of unease in the foreseeable future."
Rule 34 was less enlightening.
> "Generally accepted internet rule that states that pornography or sexually related material exists for any conceivable subject."
At least you aren't picking on my Model Railroader magazine, or the Draft Horse Journal. Or even "N", the newsletter for the Naturist Society, where folk drop trou because the breeze feels nice.
And rule 107: 'For anything you try to do on the InterWebs, there is already a rule'.
ReplyDelete...I still think there is big bux in Eldritch Pin-Ups Magazine. Just sayin'.

ReplyDeleteSpeaking of Rule 34, I heartily recommend Charlie Stross' "Rule 34". A fine read.
ReplyDeleteWouldn't certain hentai be considered Cthulhu porn?
ReplyDeleteBeen there. Done it. Have the scars from the tentacles.
ReplyDeleteFew know that the suction cups underneath the tentacles have the same serrated chitinous edges as Architeuthis, a close relative of Chtulhu.
the hot deal now is zombie porn.
Prepare to be drenched in the man-juice of the UNDEAD!
@og: Talk about the dead rising...

ReplyDeleteAh, turns out it's out of print. Que sera.
ReplyDeleteIs that like when an agnostic, dyslexic insomniac stays up all night wondering if there really is a "dog"?

ReplyDeletewv = inablers
ReplyDeleteAppropriate, though mispelled. I should be typing something witty right now, but I'm laughing too hard to think of it.
Oops. Misspelled. See, it's affecting me, too.
ReplyDeleteI heard that guy, in a fit of despair, sold his soul to Santa.
ReplyDeleteBubblehead Les, 42 is the answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything.
ReplyDeleteDo you know the actual question?
@Anon - "To Be of Not to Be! THAT is the question!"
ReplyDelete@Tam - 'his porn'?...you mean women don't like nekkid pictures?
Guffaw,
ReplyDeleteAlthough I've finally been convinced that using "they" as the third-person singular gender-indeterminate pronoun will not cause me to be struck by lightning, sometimes I still wax traditional in pronoun usage.
Quite. When it comes to pronouns and gender-neutrality, everybody can make his own decision. ;)
ReplyDeleteTHAT's what I have been entering wrong. Here I thought it was just because I couldn't find the any key.
ReplyDeleteDyslexics Untie
I think Rule 36 is the more Lovecraftian: "There is always something worse than what you just saw. NO EXCEPTIONS."
ReplyDeleteOn a larf, I just applied Rule 63 to Lovecraft.
ReplyDeleteDo a Google image search for "girl Cthulhu"... If you dare!
I thought Rule 43 was "Any common mistyping of a popular web site's domain name will be squatted (ha) by a porn site."
ReplyDeleteSee: www.whitehouse.com.
No, I'm not making that a link.
WV: goolygoe. Also don't go to that site.

Rule Number 16 is bogus. Or TAM has some explaining to do.
ReplyDeleteShub Niggurath is the only hotty in the bunch. How else did she get 1000 young. (Don't believe that goat thing.)
Lovely to see a discussion of family.
@Tam - I did notice you avoided the question...
ReplyDelete(and I get the traditional thing)
"In his house at R'lyeh dead Cthulhu waits dreaming of you."
