I love it when post content falls right into my lap, as it were, via sitemeter.
You'll note that this search comes from an IP address belonging to the Indiana Department of Education. Here's hoping it's a third grader in Miss Wilson's creative writing class, and not a humanities prof working on the curriculum for Sociology of Human/Animal Interactions. (Although if it is the latter, one can hope that reading this post and the associated comments made them cry.)
I'll pass. On the other hand, a story about a robot that feeds disabled unicorns? That's an entirely different matter.
ReplyDelete:)
They exist.
ReplyDeleteIt's the Thought Police from Dept. of Ed. setting up new Internet Blocks. Can't have any Politically Incorrect sites out there destroying all those years of State-Funded Brainwashing, now do we?
ReplyDeleteBut who are the robots feeding them to?
ReplyDeleteBubblehead Les,
ReplyDeleteDid you not notice the search terms?
Yes I did. But everyone KNOWS that "Robots feeding Disabled Ponies" is ACTUALLY Secret Code that translated from the "Foil Hat Wearer's Dictionary/Lexicon/Thesaurus" means..... ; )
ReplyDeleteBTW, did you catch the Scandal about the White House Halloween Party? Turns out George Lucas brought the original Chewbacca costume to the event, and someone wore it, passing out sweets.
So does that mean Wookies support Obama?
Hey, if I have to live in Heinlein's "Crazy Years", at least I better have some fun before it all goes up in smoke.
Only a dept of education person would look that up.
ReplyDeleteThank God my work machine is so obvious that you can just make fun of me directly if you so choose. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Tam - I hereby declare this my last time bugging you, as I know blogger-stalkers can be irritating, but a wife must do what a wife must do soo...Just wanted to remind you to post your review of my husband's Glock book when you can. As of now it's officially on the shelves. Here is a link to an interview with the business show "Marketplace" this morning which gives some sense of where he's coming from:

Thanks and Best, Julie
The local HQ for Feed the Children is just up the street from the office. For six years, I've wanted to rent the billboard next to their sign and put on it "To The Lions."
ReplyDeleteWow. "Remind you to post your review". As if she was tardy on a school assignment, or an indolent child.
ReplyDeleteClassic marketdroid pitch tricks - appeal to the family ties, guilt a little, give her a reason to keep up with "competetors". How subtle. Everybody mentions what a nice guy your husband is - snippy drivebys don't help.
Hi Discobobby. i don't know what "classic marketdroid pitch tricks" means. Here's what I do know: My husband wrote a good book about Glock. i'm trying to do all I can to get the word out on the MSM, popular blogs, etc. because, um, I love him (I guess this is what you would refer to as my manipulative appeal to family ties as if I were a devious robo-marketer PRETENDING to be Paul's wife; i'd attach a link to our wedding announcement but you'd probably say that was my way of pressuring Tam to keep up with competitors!) I got in touch with Tam a while back, she kindly wrote me back over the weekend to say that she'd read the book, had a special interest in it because of her own background, thought a lot of the reporting was good and accurate, but disagreed with some of what Paul wrote (all sounded fair enough).. She mentioned she planned to post a review in the next couple days. I know Tam's blog is really popular and I would imagine she hears from scores of people about scores of things every day. So when I said, while apologizing for bugging her, that i wanted to remind her to post the review when she can, I meant exactly that: I wanted to remind her because I understand that my husband and his Glock book isn't (and shouldn't be) the main thing on her mind. It did not occur to me in a million years that Tam would consider an interview with a public radio show about business and economics to be a competitor. I thought the interview was a quick snippet of Paul's thoughts on Glock which she might find relevant. Obviously, Tam has every right to post or not post a review. This is HER blog. It would seem to me that I'm not doing anything wrong by writing her a couple times pushing for publicity. I work in tv myself (www, betterthanfiction.tv) and i'm accustomed to and have no problem with people pushing me to publicize their own things. Can't always give them the media attention they want, but i've never called anyone a marketdroid or a snippy driveby. Not really sure why you think it's ok to insult me. Cut me some slack, dude. Jeez this was a long response, obviously you really irritated me.
ReplyDeleteOhhh-kay....then, are the Pony Robots being fed microchips?
ReplyDeleteThe Pony Robots are implanting the microchips in the Drama Llamas. I think I'll let the Wookie win.
ReplyDelete@tvlady: Thanks for posting a link to your husband's book. Now I'll know not to buy it. Seriously, there isn't private email for that sort of thing?
ReplyDeleteAs for the robots... it's almost a good idea. Wonder if they could be adapted to care for disabled humans?
Note the number at the top of that screenshot...no wonder the tv lady is agitating for attention from the Tams.
ReplyDeleteNearly 5 million served. Dang.
^^^ Now I want a cheeseburger. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteYup, visit Mickey T's and you can haz one...except not today :(
