Recoil therapy.

Heading to the range to get some recoil therapy in. I have a match coming up and, while basic long gun marksmanship skills seem to be stored in long-term memory, I can forget how to shoot a pistol over a long weekend.

I'll be busting out the M&P 357 for its inaugural range trip so as to reduce the impact on 9mm stores. The gun is identical down to the orange Ameriglo I-Dot Pro sights, so other than the noise, it should be like shooting the same pistol.

  1. I envy you. I have determined I'm much too fat and slow for 3 gun.

    I'm barely passable in IDPA.

  2. Ive got those Ameriglo's on all my pistols...love em. I first saw those on a custom glock a shop was selling, but the shop had no idea who made the sights. About 3 weeks later in an AFHF class down in Tejas i saw them on TG's gun back when he was running the G17 and of course he knew the manufacturer. I traded out all my big dots for those when i got home

  3. "...so other than the noise..."

So, does it go "pew, pew, pew"?

  4. Frankly, given your sitch, I'd be practicing with 9mm, but carrying the .357, which ammo is pricey and often hard-to-find, but impressive in its effects.

  5. (Not that I wouldn't take the .357 out to shoot once in awhile!)

  6. Gotta see what my 9mm stores look like after the CTC match.
