NBC's life-like computer graphics exact reconstruction of yesterday's events:
Note how the evil Red state shooter is using the entirely imaginary didn't happen AR15 with underslung grenade launcher to mow down hapless Blue state peaceful Democrat victims.
What media bias?
(H/T to Andrew Stiles and Mad Saint Jack who caught the sly use of the approved media color palette.)
Simply consistent with the orginal intent of "Blue State/Red State".
ReplyDeleteGiven that some of the victims likely lived in Virginia ('cause who can afford or wants to live in the Disctrict?) at least some of the folks down below oughta be portrayed in red as well.
I'm SO happy to work on Federal Property where these kinds of things don't happen ... except when they do...
Boat Guy,
ReplyDelete"Given that some of the victims likely lived in Virginia ('cause who can afford or wants to live in the Disctrict?) at least some of the folks down below oughta be portrayed in red as well."
Hush, now! Narrative! ;)
I figured it for the standard US/NATO depiction of:
ReplyDeleteBLUE = friendlies
RED = enemy
(Both THIS image, and the selction of those colors by the media for the election in 2000)
Yeah, blue = friendly is pretty ingrained in a lot of scenarios. Might be reaching a bit there.
ReplyDeleteAlthough the underslung grenade launcher is, agreed, completely ridiculous. Why not just equip him with a BFG if you're going to go all video game.
Geodkyt,
ReplyDelete"(Both THIS image, and the selction of those colors by the media for the election in 2000)"
This, exactly. (Although five gets you ten that the artist here would say "NATO? Wasn't that the Cold War thing that President Reagan started?")
Mhmm, "Blue Force" is a long time standard for "good guys" and red for hostile is kind of a given.
ReplyDeleteI heard this morning that he had a shotgun, not an AR-47 or whatever. Wonder how sad-panda they'll be when they find out it was a Mossberg pump or the equivalent, and not even a semi-auto street-sweeper death machine?
Fred,
ReplyDeleteRem 870.
Wow, and he's hitting those shots one handed off hand.
ReplyDeleteThat's freaking amazing. Didn't know he was wearing body armor either.
Do we get to hear how Buddhism is a religion of peace all the time now?
Well, if he really had grabbed a rifle from a guard, it would have been either a M16 or a M4. No AR-15s in the government arsenal.
ReplyDeleteAd as I recall from cowboys and Indians, we did that with einy meany miney mo.
I thought it was a black guy, are they saying it was a redskin?
ReplyDeleteBram,
ReplyDeleteOld version of red on blue skirmishes. Big with kids in the late 50's to middle late 60's in the last century.
Now I know what to (continue to)wear on RED SHIRT Friday!
ReplyDeletegfa
I guess he didn't like tang safeties so he shelled out the extra for the Remington.
ReplyDeleteEither way, I'm sure there's a few media types crying into their pillows since it doesn't fit the narrative.
They had to use red and blue ... an animation of a black man mowing down innocent people with a 12 gauge would have made their libtard heads explode.
ReplyDeleteMind you, nutters aren't a race issue, but the networks would still have been afraid to do it.
I'm transitioning from sarcasm about the shooter and DC gun laws to heartless sarcasm about the targets in yesterday's shooting.
ReplyDeleteMy experience tells me: the blue victims in your picture here are moving FAR TOO FAST to be civilian government workers. Can you post an image where they are moving slower?
Karl, they're probably on the way to coffee break.
ReplyDeleteSince the shooter used a shotgun, can we snark about how he took Joe Biden's advice?
ReplyDeleteOr is it too soon?
Maybe they should have covered the "Lean Forward" on the graphic?
ReplyDeleteOne of the talking heads on the Today show this morning was talking about the "police style" shotgun he used. Including a graphic of a shotgun with a pistol grip. Oh the humanity.
