If I had an a-hole cousin from England, he'd look just like Piers Morgan...

The obvious response? "That's racist!"

  1. Can we just get Jeremy Clarkson punch Piers in the face again every time he says something stupid? I'll chip in if needed.

  2. If I had a cousin like Piers Morgan I'd keep it a secret.

  3. I'll wager Jeremy is just as hoplophobic as Piers. From my years of watching Top Gear on the Beeb I'd say he isn't much more pro-American either.
I DO know some Brits who would happily bitch-slap Piers, though. They just happen to be "overseas" at the moment.
+1 on the "Immigration Law" coment.

  5. The question remains ... should it be determined that the shooter did not in fact purchase the AR15 from a gun store, as Piers emphatically shouted as "fact" at his 3 guest on his show last night, will he try to claim he didn't draw that red line?

  6. orygunmike,

Turns out there was no rifle at all. Not that Piers will correct his error...

  7. Gerry,
Seen enough BBC top Gear to have watched them doing garden excavation with shotguns... but still would not class Clarkson as either a gun guy (more likely one of those types we all encounter who says "I'm a gun owner and I see NOTHING WRONG with 'common sense gun control'") or friendly to American principles of liberty.

  8. Clarkson punched Morgan for being a lying sack of dung - had nothing to do with politics.

  9. ...and that's good enough for me. :)

  10. Clarkson freely admits to enjoying "shooting", which, to a Brit, means bird hunting. ISTR he sprang for the Range Rover with the slide-out lockbox for his over-unders.
    And the wet bar.

He also did biathlon with an MP5.

Whether he's a member of the gun culture V2 is another question entirely.

  11. My beef with Clarkson is precisely because he once punched Morgan in the face.

I mean, what kind of assclown, given the chance, would punch Piers Morgan only once?

No, but it IS a social construct.

do you keep your home doors open at all times, along with signs designating it as open to everyone?

    If not, why not?

  15. Steve - Clarkson punched Morgan so hard he -broke his hand-.

Kinda makes it hard to swing round for another go when you've busted your thumper.

  17. Tam,
I'm guessing you don't see the results of our defacto open borders, up close and personal, on a daily basis.
Most of us vette people before we let them cross our home's threshold. I see no practical difference between that and our national threshold. The end result of not doing that is indistinguishable in either situation.
