As someone who has bone spurs on both shoulders - one from skiing the other from a bad fall in Aikido - and has torn the lower part of the Bicep out of both arms (well tore it loose from where it attaches near the elbow anyway). I can empathize - no fun at all.
The trick is learning not to repeat mistakes - if you repeat them you'll never get though them all. And given the choice between Obama and McCain - I'd still pick McCain (wouldn't be happy about it but...)
Noting Richard Blaine: the shoulder thingy's bear close watching. You can feel OK but have developed 'sinovial adhesions' during that process. They just take the slickery out movement and leave pain.
I won't list the litany in it's entirety, as most are similar to others listed. However, tho' it may cost some frugal money AND the injury will seemed to have healed on it's own -- you too, may enjoy a future where crackly and painful shoulders dominate too many of your fun activities.
Even typing this, sets off jolts. and you do not want to possibly spend months of night time teeth-clenching ouch, attempting to find a comfortable sleeping position, with heating pads, rubs, and curses.
Not sayin' it WILL happen in time, but see if you can get some local clinic to sort out a specialist that will give you a good look-at -- while the healing is still malleable and not all scarred up on the 'glide-y stuff'.
BTW -- one of the major rips was from a flubbed forward roll in Akido. Another was bad flop on a bike. Don't take martial arts, nor rip around traffic-y city streets as a zippy urban pedaling commuter -- and voila..you have practiced preventive medicine. Buy more ammo with the money you will save, thereby.
Now that hurts.
ReplyDeleteI hope it was just 'Ow!', not "Oh bleep that hurts but I won't yell!"
ReplyDeleteI'm starting to think Bobbi is the snarky one, perhaps she's rubbing off on you?
ReplyDeleteHope that is ALL it was! A slight twinge is acceptable, more pain means a bigger problem.
ReplyDeleteBobbie owes me a new keyboard!
ReplyDeleteI wish a presidential vote could hurt less than a bad shoulder.
ReplyDeleteWell, McCain was the only choice against an avowed communist. How can that be painful? Other than you had to vote for him.
ReplyDeletePersonally I hoped he would stroke out on the notice he won and we would have got a good president.

Your shoulder will heal.
ReplyDeleteVoting McCain lasts a lifetime.
Voting Obama - twice - should cause your children and several subsequent generations to laugh.
Voting (Thaaackhhg, Spit) Fauxbama should, in a truly just world, cause lethal shortness of food, housing, fuel, clean water and clothing.

Always thought I was voting more for Sarah Palin...

Personally? The only reason I even showed up to vote was because Sarah Palin was on the ticket.

Snark, it is strong in this one.
