Um, hello and or duh?

The NBC reporter on the scene in Gaza (I think it was Richard Engel but my eyes don't focus too good before 0800) this morning acknowledged that rocket attacks on Israeli citizens were ongoing during the ground offensive, intoning that "The sirens will sound and the citizens will seek shelter, but here in Gaza, the citizens have no underground shelters..."

"That's because they're all full of Hamas fighters and reloads for the rocket launchers!" I blurted at the simpleton on the screen.

Jesus, the reason the British could seek shelter in the Underground during the Blitz is because it wasn't full of parked Spitfires hiding from the Jerries.

  1. NBC lies again. Gaza has one of the most extensive tunnel systems on Earth.

  5. I get the distinct impression from your post that you believe much like JarJar Binks that just because a being can speak it must be intelligent. MSM thoroughly attacks that supposition every day.

  7. Hamas doesn't allow its Serfs to have Underground Shelters, even though 99% of the Housing in Gaza is made of Brick and Concrete, so lack of building materials is not the issue, NBC.

The Serfs ARE the Shelters. At least for the "Brave Martyrs of the Resistance".

  8. What a great effort this is to burn a puny city.

  9. Alan Dershowitz (sp?) said Hamas/PLO won't allow shelters for civilians because every civilian death is a propaganda victory. Israel has Iron Dome, Hamas has human shield.

  10. I think everyone skims until they find a reason to bloviate. Larry Corriea had a long rant about this.

This includes me, once in a while, unfortunately.

Yea, the bit about those tunnels being unusable by civilians as shelters may have been difficult concept for NBC and many bloggers.

Shows the tunnels, and also remakes your point Tam that the terrorists occupy the tunnels and keep their reloads there, which point the previous poster seems to have missed...

There is a bunch of sea water nearby. If only they could get a siphon thing to suck the sea water from the Mediterranean and delouse the tunnel system. A heavier than air gas system would also be effective. Chlorine, perhaps, to get rid of the nasty bedbug infestation that the tunnels have.
