Take the carry gun off your hip, lay it on the desk, click on this link at The Munchkin Wrangler, take the test, and find out just how untactical you are.
I made a -9, and would have done better if Springfield wasn't so proud of the fact that FBI SWAT likes my gun...

13 on a Glock 23...
Hmmm, someone seems to have some rage against XD and Glocks...
And here I thought my stock Glock would win points for "simple practicality." Oh well.
Depending on the gun, I can get a 13 to -19 swing.
Hmmm...
I took that quiz, don't know how you got to -9.
Springer Pro:
"Official current issue of a major SWAT team or SPECOPS unit: +3 (add another +1 if the manufacturer advertising of the gun includes this information as a selling point)
Fits into 50% of the stocked holsters in any given gunshop: +2
Advertising slogan that implies uncompromising perfection or any variant thereof: +1
No plastic, MIM, titanium, scandium or alloy anywhere in or on the gun: -3
Steel frame: -2
No provisions for a laser, flashlight, optical sight or weather station: -2
Designed before 1980: -2
Capable of grip/grip panel removal: -2
Wood grips: -2
Used by 50% or more of the 50+ olds on the range at any given time: -2"
Well, maybe my math is bad. ;)
Don't read too much into it...I wrote it in five minutes, and I assure you there's no elaborate system or personal vendetta to it. As the say, For Entertainment Purposes Only...
It is official - I "are" a relic.
One CCW is a +2
Another a -9
Yet a third a -18
May I suggest a similar guage ( pun intended) for HD Shotguns?
(asks that while looking at single shot 20ga)
"Hmmm, someone seems to have some rage against XD and Glocks..."
If you take this survey too seriously, or think it was designed specifically to slight your favorite gun: +10. ;)
Funny quiz.
Ruger SP101: -12
Wood-gripped CZ 75B: -8 (or -10 if you consider the standard CZ finish to be "gloss blue")
Just as a check of the quiz's "face validity", let's run a wood-gripped S&W Model 19. I get -18:
Not magazine-fed: -3
No plastic, MIM, titanium, scandium or alloy anywhere in or on the gun: -3
Steel frame: -2
No provisions for a laser, flashlight, optical sight or weather station: -2
Designed before 1980: -2
Gloss blue finish: -2
Capable of grip/grip panel removal: -2
Wood grips: -2
Plausible.
SAA in .45 Colt: -23.
Not magazine-fed: -3
No plastic, MIM, titanium, scandium or alloy anywhere in or on the gun: -3
Steel frame: -2
No provisions for a laser, flashlight, optical sight or weather station: -2
Designed before 1900: -3 [I assume this isn't cumulative with the -2 for before 1980?]
Gloss blue finish: -2
Capable of grip/grip panel removal: -2
Wood grips: -2
Chambered in a caliber that started life as a blackpowder cartridge: -4
I do think tritium sights should be on the quiz -- say +1 or +2.
I love displaying bad math skills in public; it's like it's part of my professional responsibilities as a lawyer.
Colt .45 SAA, per above calculations should = -25, not -23.
Actually ...
... ah, screw it. It's an eloquent demonstration of the point as it stands.
Based on your recommendation, I scored -19. If I had used last year's carry gun, I would have gotten more points. Using my patrol rifle, scored me an ungodly -25.
He forgot to add points for carrying in kydex instead of leather.

" He forgot to add points for carrying in kydex instead of leather."
The irony of that is that the only time I carry a kydex holster is when I'm toting my Comp-Tac Gurkha IWB rig... for a S&W N-frame revolver. :D
