Blog Stuff: Ah, Spring in the South...

Time to run outside and make pollen angels and get in pollenball fights, while the children sing "Dusty the Pollenman".

I'm dreaming of a yellow Easter...

I suppose we're having a thoroughly French spring... everything's yellow.

We were doing fine until this morning; brushed 4" of snow off the Jeep and 5 hours later it's still snowing...

My car looks like a freaking tennis ball and there's currently a pollen fog hanging about. Damn near kills the transplants, especially since the government decided you can only buy uselessly small amounts of watered-down sinus medication...if any can be found at all.

I actually thought about this on my way to work this morning (mentally picturing Chris Muir's artwork):

Soldier 1: "This stuff is awful! it gets into all your gear, you can't breathe, you can barely see! How are we supposed to do anything in all this?!"

Soldier 2: "First spring in Ft. Benning, huh?"

Thanks for the laugh. That was the funniest thing I've seen since I fell through my ceiling.

I'm in the piney part of Virginia so I thionk we still have a month to go before prime pollen-man making season here.

LOVE IT!!

Moved to SC six years back about this time of year and couldn't figure out why everything was yellow-green. Had to ask my coworkers who filled me in on the fact that pollen can actually build up in such quantities.

Saw a car dealer the other day with a sign out front- "Everything covered in yellow is on sale!"
