This is how unplugged I am:
When Dr. Strangegun commented that the only network show he watches is House, I wondered why it took so long to make an enjoyable '80s B-movie into a show.

House CD's Season 1,2 lower drawer of the big TV console.
House is phenomenal.
Hey Tam did a package of books from your wishlist show up?
House is awesome! A healthy, semi-twisted dose of sarcasm and cynicism. Definitely my kind of show.
You can always watch it online Tam. No need for a TV.
If House was ever my doc, he'd be eating his teeth.
Arrogant SOB!
You ever notice that he practically murders his patients until one of his helpers stumbles across the problem and then House takes the credit.
Idjit.
Crucis,
One of his patients did shoot him. Another (a detective) tried to move heaven and earth to put him in prison on drug charges.
House has punched, and has been punched.
And he is, yes, an arrogant SOB :) But the team hits the answer only about half the time.
Crucis,
They have also structured the show with House and his team getting the worst of the worst. The most difficult cases, the cases that with most other doctors the patient would be dead anyway.
Yes, he's an arrogant SOB, which is part of the charm.
BTW, am I the only person who snickers at Hugh Laurie playing the troubled genius of Dr House after he played an amiable moron in the Blackadder series ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0096548/ ) (The link is from the IMDB of the 4th season/series, which IMHO is the best.) ?

House was fun for about two seasons for me. After that I went "...Okay, now they've just turned him into a crankier Wile E. Coyote" and the charm wore off.
Is 405 Winchester good for six foot long raccoons?
Tam, I am SO glad I'm not the only person who had that reaction...
He was good on BlackAdder too...
You're pissing me off Roger!
Sigh. I am such a geek.
My favorite one:
Damn! Come back from the grave and ran out of ammunition.
God's Toenails Blackadder!
"House II: The Second Story" is even better because it has swimsuit model Jayne Modean as a drunken bimbo in a French maid uniform, and a Playboy Playmate as "The Virgin." It's all in the casting.
Turing word: "monadu". Sounds existential.
