Stupid weatherpeople...
I was promised a couple inches of snow, and all I got was this stupid freezing drizzle. And then the drizzle's going to stop and we're going to get a strong wind from the north, full of subzero temperatures and the scent of round bacon slices, turning the streets to skating rinks and the medians to parking lots, but still bupkis in the way of snow. This sucks.

The greatest hitter of all time, Ted Williams (praised be his name), once said that hitting a baseball in the major leagues was the only job in the world where doing it successfully three out of ten times made you really really good at it.
It pains me to disagree with Mr. Williams (praised be his name). That distinction also lands on meteorologists.
If you want snow, you can have mine, I assure you!

See? Now you're gettin' the hang of Yankee winter!

Round bacon. Yum.
Almost as good as the strips.
Tell me about it. We got a little bit for about an hour last night, big fluffy flakes. It was enough for me to carry the youngest outside in his footy pajamas for a few minutes, though. He giggled and giggled. It was one of those perfect moments that you sometimes get.
