Bigoted, narrow-minded, reactionaries...

Joe Huffman talks about them.

(Of course, they'd never think of themselves in those terms. Why, they probably think they're all broad-minded and progressive...)

  1. Ummm, doesn't the article give us the answer?

"leaving decision-making about where and when to use a gun to ordinary citizens packing heat in restaurants, theaters and parks is a frightening prospect."

The antis are control freaks and elitists above all else.

"Ordinary" citizens, meaning you, you serf, cannot be trusted. Only the King's men can be controlled and trusted.

Funny how where ordinary citizens do pack heat in bars, taverns, coffee shops, parks and Brazilian steakhouses, there is no bloodletting.

  2. There's a way around forcing CCW would-be's to take a safety and handling course--have everyone take that course. The most dangerous person in a room full of teenaged boys and an automatic is the one anti-gunny (Sophoclean, innit?) "adult" who's never touched a gun before and insists on taking custody, for your own good.

The only argument against making safe handling a required high school course is the way Sex Ed worked out.

  3. "Progressive" = I know what is best for you, so give up your rights because it's for your own good.
