The Greater Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department: When they're not driving drunk, they're robbing strippers!
I don't know what we're going to do here. I'm starting to think that the solution may be to just fire the lot of 'em, from Frank Straub down to the lowliest meter maid, and start over from scratch, 'cause the current setup just isn't working out so hot.
It's really beginning to feel like 80% of the IMPD's officers are giving the other 20% a bad name...

If IMPD is immune from prosecution in an OWI/Death (a B felony like Robbery with deadly weapon) then why shouldn't they think they can rob the citizenry? "Practice Murder" as it was called in Japan; "Practice Crime" here.
IMPD is completely out of control. A grand jury is not just needed it is required at this point.
Shootin' Buddy
I agree just fire them....

Tam for Chief of Police!
Well, it's not like strippers are people.
"...just fire the lot of 'em..."
Yes. That Delende Est thing of yours shouldn't limited to direct electees. If it's gov and they've proven corrupt/inept, put 'em out (or in the case of IMPD, behind bars).
That was my philosophy in the mid-term. If they're in, they're out. A fresh batch couldn't do worse.

I agree it looks bad. But at this point, it's an allegation by a stripper that a guy who claimed to be a cop tried to put the make on her, then took her money.
Let's see where this goes.
Matt,
I know, it's just that with all that's been rocking the department lately, one turns on the news in the morning half expecting yet another IMPD scandal of some sort. Objectivity gets hard under such circumstances.
Hey, we could always be in Kansas City!
