It rained a mile or so to the east.
It rained a mile or so to the west.
Our sky darkened up, and the wind gusted hard; you could hear the thunder and smell the rain... but the drought continues in Broad Ripple.
I am so over this weather. I'm turning in early. Maybe it will rain while I'm asleep if I'm not watching the sky constantly...

We had just a bit this morning, ended around noon and the sun has been baking since then. I expect I'll need to mow this afternoon or the grass will be a foot tall by sunday next.
You need to wash your car. Always works.
Poetry is where you find it, eh?
Rain to the east, rain to the west,
The sky darkens, the wind hardens,
Hear the thunder, smell the rain!
Yet nary a drop for Smallville...
Poignant and beautiful!
Alpha Tango :)
We have the same thing. It's like we have a dome over us. I am tired of getting excited on the drive home seeing a couple of damp spots, then it's completely dry right before we get to the house.
Ayuh, same here. Rains wicked hard all around, but not here.
Rain barrels are empty, 1st time in years.

Up in Pendletucky we got an hours worth of torrential downpour with heavy lightning and thunder.
Then half an hour later we got it again.
Good thing I watered the willow trees yesterday morning. First rain longer than a minute we'd had since June 20th.
WV: Foroi... Dude, I told you that's an Italian knock off, who drives a Foroi?
Rained just enough to highlight the completely dead areas of my lawn.
I tried watering the lawn in the face of the dark clouds, thunder, lightning, and wind...but we didn't get a drop.
Here in S. Texas I'm about ready to start cursing the sun due to the heat. Yeah, it IS usually hot down here in the summer...but not THIS hot, with no real rain for months.
