LOL, is there anything on your iPod that came out in this Millennium?
Your # 7 is my # 1
"LOL, is there anything on your iPod that came out in this Millennium?"
Yes. Now get off my lawn, LOL.
(Oh, and #4 and #10.)
I wholeheartedly approve of #6.
That is all.
Concrete Blonde!
Kudos on the Dead Can Dance song, but the eclectic quotient would be higher if the Pink Floyd song was from a pre-"Dark Side of the Moon" album.
Just peeked into iTunes, and there's an 890-way tie for Most Plays (twenty-nine). This is generally due to my default playlist, which gathers tunes that haven't been played in a while.
Awww man, now here's another bunch of songs I'll have to download! It would seem that you and I share similiar tastes in music, Tam, so it's always worth me checking out your recommendations! Although, oddly enough, I already searched out a copy of "Whatever" not that long ago on a nostalgic whim. Last time I heard it was on a cassette tape.
Personally, I'm surprised you don't go more for Red Barchetta while driving in the car.
Sigh! No Sinatra. I would have thought "My Way" would be the Theme Song of this Blog. ; )
I regret that I didn't have my new car stereo installed yet when you rode with me on the first leg of your drive home from Blogorado. Next time, we'll just hook the USB cable into your iPod and we can do the hands- waving thingie together.
OMG - remember when Matt G stuck his long-assed arms out either side of his car ahead of us, and it took both of us to emulate the effect when we got ahead of him? That was such a fun drive. :)
And I'm not ashamed of a little bit of audio fluff gumming up the works a little bit. Variety being spice, and all. :)
And I love you for having Butthole Surfers on the list, along with Limelight, but to me Red Barchetta is one of the best driving songs ever.
The really interesting spellcheck mistake is that the standard Android OS likes to auto-capitalize bacon. Which is, admittedly, quite awesome. It recognizes that bacon without a capital is a legitimate word, but apparently regards it as lesser and not to be used unless you absolutely have to.
Hey, I actually recognize two of the songs on the list. :)
(13 & 14)
Me too. Let me guess: #6 & # 13?
OT: Just had to comment again when I noticed that the new WV was Paul Helmke's favorite desert: "hypsysle"
Looking at the titles, there are only two that I could even hum without playing first.
Damn kids.
Is it bad that I only recognize three of those? And can't stand any of them?
#12 takes me back. I loved that album when it came out.
#14 is the driving song for accelerating when the light turns green.
Terry
Joel,
"Is it bad that I only recognize three of those? And can't stand any of them?"
No, it's not. Whatever any of those sonsabitches want to pretend, it's a free country. :)
Jusr for you

Sadly, I only recognize one of those. Even more embarrassing, its the first one ;p
Check out Digital Leather. Infinite Sun is available for download at http://soundcloud.com/volar-records/sets/digital-leather-infinite-sun but Warm Brother is a better album, particularly "Modern Castles" and "Bugs on Glue"
For better or worse, I posted mine straight from iTunes.
May god have mercy on my soul!
What? No "Stuart" by the Dead Milkmen?
I can forgive the Madonna but am kinda disapointed that Jesus didn't build Tam's hotrod.
"Sigh! No Sinatra. I would have thought "My Way" would be the Theme Song of this Blog. ; )"
What the world needs now is a new Frank Sinatra...
--Cracker.
I love the cover of "My Way" by The Sex Pistols! :D
The first time I see Nickleback on that list, I stop reading your blog!
