RX: "It's a sad day when a government is too broke to exterminate its own people."It's a good thing the government can't use illegals; they'd build death camps for cheap, but they might not be code-compliant.

Wait until they implement "Right to Work"!
Maybe if they had, we wouldn't be in half this mess.
They could use TSA workers. They're unionized and don't seem to have any problems just following orders.
Gerry
Gerry,
Have you ever seen one actually working?
Oh my god, non code compliant death camps, THAT could dangerous.
You can just see the OHSA bureaucrat, putting a hold on the operations because there were some accidental deaths.
The bad news, it was the guards they were talking about , worse news, the operation being shut down is the supply of 1000 calorie a day "food" service to the inmates.
I'm hopin' that if they build FEMA Death Camps™, they DO use those there illegal laborers. I can see the headline now ... Prisoners escape by digging through walls with plastic spoons
"the government can't afford to pay the union labor to build the death camps."
In Soviet USA, the prisoners build the Death Camps.
Actually, they can (sort of, temporarily) afford it. They can just print it. Turns out that under our Living Constitution(tm), that's what freedom of the press is.
(And when it stops working, the velocity of money might take on new meaning too.)
If the Gov. did it at least you know that there's be hookers and booze.
"If the Gov. did it at least you know that there's be hookers and booze."
For the guards. And I disagree about the hookers, they'll troll the inmates for "volunteers" (The "you have choice" volunteers: guard house entertainment duty or no food this week.)
Speaking from Joplin FEMA camps(they look like really trashy trailer parks) come after tornadoes.
It'll be a great day when the Air Force has all the bombers it needs and FEMA has to hold a bake sale to build a death camp... though knowing the way the government is going, it'll be holding mandatory bake sales soon.
Looking for my copy of "One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich"....found it.
Unfortunately you'll find when you get to the bake sale, that the cake is a lie.
Tam,
If reading comments, since I know (from your own confessions) that email is likely useless in this instance...
Both "Stuff You Need", and "Feed Me, Seymour!" are empty on this Firefox browser. If you're counting on those for income, none's possible from my machine right now.
If I'm the only one with this predicament, obviously nevermind--nothing to see here.
I doubt the .GOV would ever build death camps, but after forced re-education about the joys of union membership, environmentalism, healty eating, socialized medicine, and just how racist your whole life has been, you'd be wishing that was an option!
First time I heard the Ihre papiere bitte, was the first Medal of Honor video game on the PS1, where you're disguised and sneaking amongst the Not-Sees (unless you hit the wrong button and your wallet gets replaced by your blaster, at which point the klaxons start blaring quickly...).
Eef yoo haff nuffink doo heid, vatt eez zee pwabwem wiff zee zearch, ja?
That was mine...badly spelled, I got every word underlined, ja?
Well, who says the Gooberment never learns? There won't be a need for any FEMA Death Camps. The Next Time, everyone gets shipped TO Kalifornia, unlike what happened to the Nisei in WW2.
And Nancy Pelosi will be the Commandant.
I'd be disappointed if I was executed in an unsafe death camp.
It will be a good day when the FEMA death camps have all they need, and the Army has to hold a bake sale to buy bullets.

jetfxr69, turn off adblock for this blog and all will be revealed.
Oh Mistress of Snark....
If it pleases you this humble one has sent you an email requesting your sage guidance.
BGM
Simple. Make GM and Mopar move their assembly lines to the camps to provide work, and encourage the inmates to contribute towards the construction and upkeep of their new homes.
Then issue tax rebates to the rest of us to buy Government Motors or Chrysler products. Voila!
When the inmates have earned enough points through attending sufficient (re)education classes and garnering letters of recommendation from supervising commission members, they can be issued downpayment chits for new homes outside the camps as they get build by the unionized workers of the new CCC.
Neat program, but it needs a catchy slogan, something like "Work Shall Make You Free".
Not a Camp, Panels. And somewhat worse for wear than the 70's walnut paneling that everyone put on the den walls.
@Odysseus, 2:240PM: Everyone knows tornadoes go after trailer parks, not the other way around.
Drang- But isn't it government logic to put the trailer park after the tornado?
Popular Mechanics Magazine did a pretty good debunking of the FEMA deathcamp scenario, by actually walking around all the supposed facilities and finding that they were quite something else or nothing at all. Many of the pictures used for propaganda were of buildings torn down years ago, or rebadged photos of North Korean facilities.
That being said, I wonder how many Idaho militiamen it would take shooting at helicopters for Boy Barry to start converting National Guard bases to holding facilities under Executive Orders 11000 and 11001?
My biggest complaint in a SHTF scenario is that the feds couldn't feed or police those camps for more than a few days, and the inner city thugs would act out all the wet dreams they now wallow in.
Did you read the story of the British teens who had to barricade themselves in the New Orleans dome for three day and defend themselves with home made spears? Not from a few exceptions, but from every hate filled human being with screaming range.
It got quite a bit of coverage in the European papers.
And that was with the knowledge that it would be all over in a few days, and the Army was only hours away. Take away any hope of a happy ending, and I suspect the Zombiepocalypse would prove very, very real.
Something along those lines very well may happen in a few years. If it does, I'm definately doing a discrete defend in place for a few days, then a backroad bugout to my safe place, where I hope to meet up with several law enforcement buddies and their families.
Give me another two or three years for prep and it will be my primary residence. But between now and then I'm not going to aggravate the situation or make myself appear to be a fringer by doing more than joining Tam in what appears to be a good bit of tongue-in-cheek humor.
Lighten up guys. It could happen in the future, and sadly, we are sort of moving in that direction if things don't change.
That's why they have elections. Democracy, a guarantee that everyone will be equally dissatisfied.

Ed,
As it turns out, nearly every story about the Superdome is as much BS as the FEMA death camps.
Will Tremblay,
You and I obviously have different standards of "proof". Tell the guy at your linked site that it's "Beech Grove", not "Beach Grove". I was just across the street from the Amtrak yard yesterday, doing a transfer at my LGS...
I agree, the SuperDome thing was sensationalized wildly, but it still was a lot of swine acting like a lot of swine. I spent a large part of my life living in close proximity to the inveterate urban underclass and have no illusions about a completely sociopathic culture.
It wasn't the Goths who pulled down Rome, they just wanted to join the club. It was the Roman underclass that bled the place out.
I have both friends and family who still have ties in the "Inner City". Yes, some of my best friends are....., also most of my grandchildren. I didn't raise my kids as rednecks.
Multigenerational urban welfare recipients aren't zombies. Zombies don't hate, aren't taught to hate from childhood, and don't use that hate to rationalize their position in life, or the lack of it. Throw in a mean I.Q. of about 70, and the witchdoctors have fertile fields to plow.
I agree with the foil hat crowd that it's all going to get very bad sometime in this decade. I'm thinking more 1935 New York rather than 1635 South Carolina, but I could be wrong.
If Barry confiscated every penny earned in the entire country it wouldn't be enough to cover the tag for our glorious people's republic, so the situation is headed for a hard landing. Money is mobile, so it will head for Australia or into precious metals, where it will deprive us of capital to get things running again.
Where I differ from the tin hat crowd is in the fact that I don't want to see it crash and I think they do. But even a broken clock is right twice a day.
Not about the camps, which don't exist but could be cobbled up quickly if needed. But about the 3 or 4 week orgy of death and misery that would surround every urban area in the country if things did fall apart, until the violent but utterly incapable rioters all starved to death.
Check out www.dailymail.co.uk/news/.../We-feared-lives-hell-superdome.htm. Some of it is kids adding a bit to the sea story, but about 80% of it sounds solid. And that is with military personnel wandering around handing out largess and acting as a reminder that the "suits" would be back in a day or two.
The big urban collapse fantasy is perennial but Clio doesn't really give us many examples.
