Me: "I'll deliver your mom safely to the doctor..."
RX: "I'm going to hold you to that."
Me: "Well, not only is she your mom, but I'll be in the car too, which is sort of an added incentive in my book."

Very Atlas Shruggian.
I remember how my Grandma always wanted to ride a motorcycle. Just because some one is old does not mean that they are immune from thrills.
I'm think riding with Tam could be a thrill a minute.
Not in a bad way.
Objectivist rationalization for not allowing Ms x's mom to die due to recklessness and neglect on the way to the hospital :
Creepy?
Or super creepy?
You decide. We report...
"Objectivist rationalization..."
LOLWUT?
Yeah, I was totally planning on driving in reverse until I ran into a bridge abutment and exploded today, but since someone else is in the car along with my own worthless ass, I'll do it tomorrow instead. :p
Incentives are important...
"Objectivist rationalization."
Yeah, I caught that too. Then again, that's the trap, isn't it?
At what point in our Nation's history did enlightened self-interest stop being just prudent good-sense and start becoming political and philosophical? A case could be made that it started with the Quakers but that's a stretch.

Goober: Take your sick-ass philosophy off my Mom. Now.
It was a humorous exchange -- Tam is a much better driver than I am.
That was me joking.
Objectivism: the theory that if you only ever do things for your own benefit and for selfish reasons, that the world will be a better place.
Don't safely deliver mamma x because its the right thing to do: do it because putting her in peril will likewise imperil you. That's creepy.
Guys, seriously I was joking. Sorry for the misunderstanding. I was hoping for an LOL here, not to piss anyone off.
Ah, I'm tracking now. :o
