I've found that Aleve (Naproxen Sodium) works very well, but it takes about 30 minutes to start working.

I know my left one has issues from time to time. Motorcycle wreck was the proximate cause. Weather is the immediate cause.

I had that same pain, but it helped a bunch by switching from a Real Gun to a Ruger LCP. Yeah, I know, but whatcha gonna do?
