Chicken of the Sea sells little foil packets of pink salmon, and the local grocer frequently has them on sale at 10/$10. They keep forever (sell-by dates are usually 3 or 4 years down the road,) and so I keep plenty on hand.
When combined in a bowl with dollops of honey mustard, mayo, and relish, and then spooned onto saltines, they're perfect for a little midnight snack. I have a happy feeling in my tummy now.

Hmm. Try the dill , lemon and olive oil yellowfin tuna.
That's revolting. I've always wondered what sort of person eats humpy, and what you'd have to put on it to be able to force it down.
All the fish I had as a yoot was at best questionable, so it took some time to get back into it.
That said, I'm glad I did: Salmon, decent bread, hot mustard, and that funny sandwich spread Kraft makes, yum.

Like the tuna that comes in cans, it's nothing I'd eat straight, that's for sure, but it works in cracker spread.
Red Salmon
I conceed Salmon is wonderful stuff, and I wish I could stand the taste. Much to the chagrin of several thousand years of Celtic ancestors, I can't stand the sweetish taste of the stuff.
Wish I could. Ounce for ounce, it's about the healthiest stuff on the planet, and I enjoy catching the beauties, but I give the meat away.
Gotta try the tuna stuff anonymous mentioned. Sounds good, keeps well, and you never know.
Anybody know of a retail mayonnaise that comes in small packets? If refrigeration ever becomes problematical, it's either that or mix up fresh mayo as I use it. Tastes wonderful but is a pain in the ass on a regular basis.
And yes I misspelled concede. Babysitting again.
I'd love the snack but the in-bed-burps at early A.M. would be a killer!
You are a lot braver than I!!
Well crap, Tam, now I'm gonna have to buy one of those packs when I hit the store tommora!
I bet it'll gross the wife out too!
FYI in asian markets they sell little tins of roasted eel. Thems are WICKED good!

Keep that up for long and you won't be able to see your feet either.
:)
Try it with just a tiny hint of curry powder mixed in.
I do a little dab of "Cajun Seasoning"- damn, I gotta go make some!
