Barry's so cute when he's angry.
I would have given my right arm for press
credentials and the first question, just so I could have asked: "Mr. President!
Mr. President! Who's the sad clown? Awww, who's the sad clown?"
Team Gun Control is positively frothing on Facebook. If I had a car that ran on hippie tears, I'd be set for years.

well, this is the saddest thing i've ever heard. really.
no, really. :)
Things are amusing on Twitter, too.
"How could you vote against it? Don't you realize I desired it!
Oh yeah, and don't you care about the CHILDREN?!?"
He says they "caved to pressure" I thought that's how it was supposed to work.
The Freeholder,
"He says they "caved to pressure" I thought that's how it was supposed to work."
When you agree with what they do, it's "listening to their constituents."
When you don't, it's "caving to pressure." ;)
I love the way Barry voiced his righteous indignation about an obscure Senate rules being used to circumvent the will of the populace. #PPACA
And saying the gun rights lobby had lied.....
Projection much Barry?

The Senate debate continues. This means while 'it' may be over with for THIS ROUND, we've only one a battle.
Let's not get cocky.
No fat lady has yet sung.
We must maintain vigilance.

I also love Bloomberg having a fit over 'special interests influencing the vote' when the corrupt little bastard has personally spent more than the NRA in this mess.
Maybe that's part of his problem: "Do you know how much I PAID for this vote? And I don't get my ban and registrations?"
Exactly, armedlaughing, the original bill (S649) is pretty rotten. It has not yet been voted on. Only amendments to it.
So, they voted against all the amendments, but they're going to vote for the much stricter original bill. Is that how some folks see this playing out?
You know what makes me sad? The LOSER mentality of some of my fellow gunnies. They just don't seem to be happy when they're not getting beaten. I'll bet some of them actually pay hookers to put on DiFi masks and call them names.
S.649 COULD still pass. Quantum theory says my car COULD spontaneously teleport into this room right now... but that's not the way to bet.
National CCW reciprocity got more votes than the "compromise" main bill. This goose is cooked.
As usual Tam could snark for the Olympics.
Tam, after Obamacare was rammed through I only relax when Congress is in recess.
Speaking of Facebook, I actually saw one lefty (well, at least one) claim that the bill should have passed because of what happened in Boston.
No, really.
We need gun control BECAUSE BOMBS.
Funny how the evil NRA money was so effective while the pristine Bloomberg money did squat.
Must be related to the fact that TV and film violence has no effect on anybody but advertising does.
Jay G, somebody here yesterday brought up the Bomb Show Loophole.
It is never over.
Those of us with Senators in thrall to the merchants of death should stay busy thanking them, while the others ought to keep reminding them that their vote to go along with the will of 90% of the people will be negatively remembered.
And the price of yet another box of ammunition to the NRA will help too.
Scott J said: "Tam, after Obamacare was rammed through I only relax when Congress is in recess."
I don't. That's when Oblather starts appointing every Red Commie he knows to various positions as 'recess appointments'.
I wish Congress would meet three days year. And they then could repeal all the bad Legislation they have been pushing through all these years. Maybe they could read the Constitution! I would also cut their pay. And redistribute to the enlisted ranks of the military.
I would have loved to see Tam the Journalist stand up at that conference, wave her press pad, and ask "Mr. President, were you this mad the morning after Benghazi?"
Poor Barry. Someone told him no
And did you see Biden, he was actually POUTING... :-)
POTUS VEPOTUS HAVE COMMITTED MANY HIGH CRIMES AND MISDEMEANORS AS HAVE
MANY CABINET OFFICERS SENATORS AND
MEMBERS OF THE HOUSE AT HOME AND ABROAD
CHIEF AMONGST THESE MANY CRIMES AND BETRAYAL OF THE REPUBLIC AND THE PEOPLE IS THEIR OATHS OF OFFICE TO WHICH THEY MUST BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE
THEIR ATTEMPT TO UNDERMINE THE CONSTITUTION IS A CRIMINAL OFFENSE ITS NOT POLITICS
THESE INDIVIDUAL ITEMS BAD ARE ENOUGH BUT THE WHOLE PICTURE IS
FAR WORSE THEY ARE TRYING TO DESTROY OUR REPUBLIC
VERY LITTLE RESISTANCE EXCEPT THE PRO 2ND AMENDMENT PEOPLE HAS BEEN FORTHCOMING THANKS TO THE DUNBING DOWN OF THE AVERAGE CITIZEN BY THE MEDIA AND OUR EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM
VOTER FRAUD AND THE MASSIVE INFLUX OF ILLEGALS USURPING CITIZENSHIP
TO SAY NOTHING OF INCREASING THE NATIONAL DEBT BEYOND ALL REASON
THEY ARE DESTROYING OUR REPUBLIC
To paraphrase Obama himself: We* won. So ... on that one, we trump you.
*The People.
Ahhhh.
Schadenfreude wafting through my nostrils, it smells like... victory.
I wish victory smelled like napalm, but this will do.

That's why I prefer Bayesian statistics, priors.
A small win today, but a win none-the-less. I'm a fairly optimistic guy, but I think this won't be the last time we hear from this group of gun-banning lackies.

Was too good not to.
http://snarkyposters.blogspot.com/2013/04/sad-clown.html
I can hear the ghost of a dissappointed Saint Woodrow...
"A little group of wilful men..."
Bloomberg's Illegal Mayors spent, what, almost a quarter mil on TV ads for gun control in Indianapolis?
Oh damn. Another perfectly good crisis gone to waste.
I'm thinking of sending a celebratory mackerel to Hizzoner the Mayor of Chicago, wrapped in a copy of Shotgun News, because tonight the background check sleeps with the fishes.
I hardly ever do this but......
U MAD BO?....
.... yeah he mad
I'll bet some of them actually pay hookers to put on DiFi masks and call them names.
Ouch.
The reason the bill will be pulled is that if they actually had it the red-state dems would have to take a stand and would have to vote against it. If they didn't you know they'd be gone in 2014. So forcing a vote would ensure it goes down in flames.
I'm currently in an argument with someone who literally seems to think that increasing background checks will make people not go crazy and shoot up shopping malls. When I pointed out that crazies don't go through traditional vendors to get their murder sticks, he countered with the "fine, then let's not have ANY background checks!" argument.
The wrath and fury of our monarch is a terrible thing. His bloody vengeance will not be denied. The wailing and anger of his minions will continue for weeks through out his realm.
And yet I smile.

What do you think ticks Bloomie off worse. The fact he spent $12 Million for nothing, or the realization that buying the Mayorship of NYFC doesn't do bupkis as far as getting his desired amount of butt kissing and sycophancy from "fly over country"?
And once again, we see in action the DC definition of "Special Interest": A lobbyist or constituent that doesn't agree with me.
"If I had a car that ran on hippie tears, I'd be set for years." This is the best thing I've read in years.
Yet another example of him going before a nation that told him “no” and having him explain to us why we really wanted what he was proposing, and how it was just because we couldn’t understand him that we didn’t line up to punch the card for his idea.
I’m getting so sick of being preached to by this pseudo-intellectual lightweight about how I’m so stupid and he’s so smart, and the only reason that I disagree with him is because he is too smart to be able to speak in terms stupid enough for me to understand him.
This wasn’t a failure of communication, Barack – I read you just fine. It’s just that – and I know that this is going to come as a shock to you, so stick with me here – I think what you were pushing for was stupid, poorly-thought-out, rights stripping, reactionary nonsense. Amazingly enough, so did the Senate.
Joanna. You just encountered teenager's logic. "My dad doesn't know everything, therefore he knows nothing!" Fortunately many people outgrow it. Sadly, not all do.
S.649 COULD still pass. Quantum theory says my car COULD spontaneously teleport into this room right now... but that's not the way to bet.
With the massive demonstration of public non-support for Obamacare, how did you bet on its passage?
Well, if Biden's lips aren't moving, he always pouts.
Staghounds. "A little group of willful men". Gee, for a professor, you'd think ol' Woody would have heard of Thermopylae.
Jay G. "We need gun control BECAUSE BOMBS." That's right, and we need breathalyzers in ever single auto in America BECAUSE BENGHAZI.
The ability of Leftists to jump off the train of logic at every opportunity is absolutely amazing to me. After 50-odd years of observation and awareness you'd think that nothing would amaze me anymore, but I guess I'm a slow learner.
So, if this was only a vote on the compromising amendments, this displeasure in Teh Won's opponents becoming evil is just an act, and they'll trot out a vote on the main bill if they think they'll get more votes on it? How can this be called to a vote soon, as Nylarthotep suggests, so that voters will remember who voted against liberty?
My Senators are Di and Babs. Which (r) Senator in which state should I write to to remind him he also has to represent those behind enemy lines? Not McCain.
Conan! What is best in life?
Conan: To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women.
Now let's find new ways to make DiFi cry.
Reid has pulled the original bill: http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/apr/18/sen-harry-reid-personally-will-continue-fight-back/
But Biden threatens they'll come at us sideways: http://m.weeklystandard.com/blogs/biden-president-already-lining-some-additional-executive-actions-guns_718027.html
Joanna, tell him you agree, we need to close the murder your mother and steal her guns loophole.
Sen. Reid's 'pause' is just a wait for the next high profile gun crime.
Cold.
It wasn't that long ago we were being told the NRA was irrelevant in the new political landscape. Obama's reelection was proof of that.
And now they're back, crushing the hopes and dreams of the gun control crowd underfoot with newfound strength.
Moreover, as folks have pointed out, the 4.5million NRA members (and others) are obviously an astroturfed movement representing nobody of any importance but Bloomberg's cash and tiny membershipped gun control groups have their fingers on the true pulse of America.
I'm thinking the reality they inhabit is not the true one.
Robert: Mark Twain was way ahead of you.
“No man's life, liberty, or property is safe, while Congress is in session.”
From those photos, it appears that he drank from a cup of Bitter-Clinger tea and it tasted, well, bitter.
Heh heh.
