Me: "Worst come to worst, you could blow the bridges, build a wall along the Wisconsin border, and wait for the relief column to get there from Montana."

I drove eight hours from the U.P. to get to Central Lake, about 30 miles north of Traverse City. The Second Chance Bowling Pin Shoot was held in Central Lake and I attended every June for 10 years.
Some darn Canadians from Ontario
only had to drive four hours.
Nice Model A. I saw one cruising on US 41 just this morning.
Now that you mention it, I'd be grateful to learn RX's opinion of the bit of "obsolete but still functional" technology I sent her way a few weeks ago.

Yoopers are hard to beat!
I like it -- the return loss abac is epecially nice. The circular slipstick is super-fun and good...but, ::sigh::, runs up against mechanical accuracy issues by the first decimal place.
Summer in the UP is really nice especially when it falls on a weekend.
His Model A gets better gas mileage than my '72 Satellite. :-/

I've got a very small model from them. It's cute as hell and well made, but not as easy to use as a full-sized one.
