Tick Tock

So, back in February of 2020, before everything got really nuts, I posted this pic of the Zed Drei's odometer on Facebook:

Here we are, some three and a half years later and I got this pic on Tuesday morning in the alley, before driving up to visit a friend in Westfield.

The last ~10mph of that speedo is pure fantasyland. I've checked.

Thanks to living in a very walkable/bikeable neighborhood, the Red Line going in on College Avenue, and working from home, the cars just don't get a lot of miles put on them. That's less than three thousand miles a year. (And there's a roadtrip to Dallas, Texas in that total, too, for TacCon 2022.)

I really only use the cars to drive to and from the range, visit friends, the occasional run to the store, roadtrips, and pleasure driving.

So the Z3 has less than 200k on it and the Mustang has a few thousand short of 240k. Both the M52B28 inline six in the Zed and the roller-cam fuelie 5.0 in the GT are known for putting up big mileage numbers, so there's an outside chance I've got my last cars. (Although the clutch in the Mustang would not be friendly to an arthritic knee and orthopedic loafers...)
