What if the redcoats had said they were looking for dangerous terrorists instead of gunpowder?

Anyhow, I almost forgot to do my April 19th post today in all the fuss.

Well...actually the side goal of the Brits at Lexington/Concord was to arrest Sam Adams and John Hancock. So a sense, they were actually searching for both munitions AND terrorists (By their definition of course).

Fitting that I took my boss with very limited firearm experience out to try many today.

I lobbied hard for him to start with a pre-10 M&P like I did but I had to be honest he shot our co-worker's Glock 19 better than anything else.

Interestingly I shoot my XD-9 better than the Glock even when I'm bearing down and really trying with the Glock.

Had so much fun I might make it a point to introduce a new shooter every April 19th.

Glad to see you actually know the correct day for Patriot's Day. Lately the media has been trying to sell 4/15 for some reason I seem to have missed. Then, there was the aborted attempt to make 9/11 into Patriot's Day. All wrong for the wrong reasons. Thank you.

while I share your concern, we need to verify that they preformed a warrant-less search without permission before getting all ticked off.

Also if the circumstances required an immediate search without a warrant and they kicked in the door on some illegal drug use or child p___ , I would hope all the evidence would be "fruit of the poison tree", but I suspect the supremes have somehow "discovered" that the writers of the BoR actually meant otherwise.

Well...actually it was not.

General Gage had been directed to arrest Hancock and Adams, but he knew that would incite a violent uprising so he left that out of his orders to his troops.

They were sent straight to Concord, and only paused at Lexington because of the militia formed up there.
