Feeling better...

...although still a little light-headed and disoriented. Everything culminated last night with me lying there unable to sleep because the right side of my occipital lobe hurt. Now, to the best of my knowledge, you aren't supposed to have pain receptors in you brain proper, so I feel that this is clearly a warranty issue.

Then, after I'd finally drifted off, I dreamed that I had traded all my guns for SMLE Mk.I's and old British top-break revolvers. Nothing against either of those, but I'm glad that was a dream.

I'm sick as a dog too and also didn't sleep last night due to a head cold. I feel your pain.

Tam,

Are you sure that the offending region isn't a "hot spot" in the sinuses? If you have the Saline Nasal Mist, or better a Neti Wash pot, try that to flush out the guck.

. . . Plenty of rest, fluids.

Take care.

WV: Preamme - but I don't drink coffe!

From: Warranty Div., Body & Brain, Inc.

To: Ms. Tamara K. (aka SnarkMistress)

After reviewing your claim, we find that although you are well within your 50-yr. warranty period covering defective design and workmanship, the mileage provision has been exceeded beyond anything we have heretofore experienced.

While we take pride in our brain components, they were never designed and cannot be guaranteed to absorb, process, refine, and disseminate unlimited gigabytes of information, knowledge, opinion, and this vast trove of something our analysts identify only as "snark".

So although we must deny your claim for repair, we can offer this: we will exchange your OE brain system for a brand-new, improved and pre-programmed model which we feel will provide you with many years of service without the need for all the individual tinkering and processing which has apparently strained your existing one. This will further allow us to forensically analyze the old model so as to be sure that we never, ever allow such a dangerous product onto the market again. Standarization and assimilation is our ultimate goal, and we feel your new brain which we call TK 2.0 will go far toward accomplishing that goal.

Thank you for being a four-decade (+!) customer of B&B Inc., and we look forward to many more years of trouble-free service from your new and improved brain model.

Regards,

Glad to hear you're feeling better.

Had some kind of crud too that started of early Friday morning and had me running a fever yesterday. Better today, the fever is gone.

Um, would you take a Mk4, No. 1* for one of your early S&Ws?
Drat, didn't think so.

Only worry if you start dressing all in kakhi, with a cross draw full flap holster on a sam brown belt, and a sword....

All of those nice WWII era rifles being traded off for just ONE type of SMLE...for shame.

Never understood the attraction to that rifle. Most that I've seen were pigs that had bad chambers and sloppy, spongy bolts.

(ducks to avoid fanboys throwing items my way)

If you had been used hard all over the world by a series of strong yet unskilled young men in dirty, wet conditions since 1910 your chamber might be bad too.
