Fingers crossed for kitty...

Tommy is Slinky's daddy. He's about a year older than her. Since she left, he's been listless and a more than a little lost, as though he'd aged another couple of years in a week, just lying limply and forlorn and needing to be carried from his food and water to the litter box and back. He's at the vet's right now.

Please keep him and Bobbi in your thoughts.

Time to shop some new kittens I think. Don't mean to seem callous, but fresh new companions might be a nice idea, maybe even good company for the old cat.

Agree with Tom. Wilco on the positive karma..

Sympathy for the old guy. Same happened to our dog when the cat died. He went in March & she in July.
Sigh.

Sorry for the old kitty. I hope he recovers from his grief soon and is back to his old self.

Good luck and my thoughts are with you.

Hope the kitty is well. They do take your heart out and own it while you are not looking!

When my first dog went the cat moped around for days poking in laundry piles and mewing, then stayed in the basement for 6 months.

What Tom said up at the top. I was going to say it after Slinky, but I think it's important. The metaphysics of this are simple, I think: our pets just about never outlive us. That means: we get ready for them to leave us, and we have time for more.

Priss just left me last week. I have the very considerable benefit of the company of two Bengals right now, and they could not be more welcome.

I hate how this goes, but it is what it is. I think it helps to face it.

I hope so.
