Day Three...

I bruise like a banana, so this will probably be the day that the collection of bruises on the upper right quadrant of my body, from the huge one atop my bewb to the yellow-brown-purple line along the top of my shoulder, will just merge into one big owie.

At least I'm not into some crazy hobby, like MMA or whatever; those people pay to get punched in the nose. I'm just having good, clean, sane fun.

We don't pay to be punched in the nose.

We pay to learn how to avoid being punched in the nose.

But as the learning curve is steep, and pain is a wonderful teacher, some nose punching is inevitable, I suppose.

I guess you are right, then. But in the wrong way. : )

I remember taking a break from bench presses at the gym and turning to the guy next to me and giving him my tired face. He said, "You know, we pay to be here." I replied, "Thats good, because you couldn't pay me to do this."

Walk it off.

That never seemed to work for me but it was a favorite of every coach, instructor and my departed father so I have shared it with you.

Feel better already don't you.

Whenever my father came back from semi-annual quals, his right upper arm was always black and blue from the butt of the 12 gauge. Maybe that's why he used a Browning "Sweet Sixteen" for pheasant.

wv: nophawk. The Nop Hawk is the natural enemy of the American lapcat who won't stop trying to help Dad type...

A lot of the troopers Dad worked with added a slip-on recoil pad to the one on the stock of the 12 gauge when qualifications came around; said it helped a bit.

Jeez Louise, no one has gone for the Bad Quote yet? Sigh! Okay , I'll do it (AHEM): Of course, Ms. Tam you know that "That which does not Kill Us only makes Us Stronger!" And "Pain is God's Way of letting You know Weakness is leaving your body"! Next!

Yeah, I kind of figured out what a bewb was, that was just a new spelling for me.

WV='hazings', what leaves you with a bruise on your bewb.
